He had the highest vertical in the draft. And Scott Pioli is a certified genius, just ask him. Go figure.

I do remember at the time thinking a good jumper should help track down Cassel's errant throws. The highlight of his career is a catch he made reaching around the defender's back, which was called back on some totally BS off the ball penalty they never call.

"this is true but sometimes you just know when someone is gonna be great. his dad was an NFL QB. His coach is the brother of an NFL coach. he has all the physical tools. and he just looks like an NFL QB. he just has instant credibility b/c his body language and attitude shows nothing but confidence."

Which player is this?

I'm pretty sure it was Andrew Luck, but that reasoning is the absolute dumbest possible reasoning for liking him as a prospect.

Ah, I thought he was talking about someone who was drafted in 2011.

I ignored the year and just went with what the clues sounded like.

And I wasn't hundred percent sure Luck and Harbaugh overlapped but I assumed so

Yeah, this was back when everyone expected Luck to declare in 2011 instead of staying for his senior year.

"Looks like an NFL QB" was the reasoning given in 2014 why Blake Bortles was the best option available

And if "son of a coach" and all that crap mattered, C.J. Beathard should probably be the top QB prospect this year
