Sometimes he throws 3 TDs and sometimes he throws 6. Sometimes he throws for 280 yards and sometimes he throws for 480 yards. 3 TDs and 200 yards is a lot of variance.

every other qb can never make some of the throws, while he sometimes does. infinitely more uncertainty!
Yeah, I just don't see how the Packers defense will be able to hold the Falcons offense to a half-way reasonable number (even if the defense was somewhat healthy). I think the Packers offense can put up 30 even without a couple receivers, but with a bunch of injured skill players - whether they play or not - plus McCarthy there is too much of a chance that the offense hits a wall.
There are two scenarios that aren't impossible where the Packers could win: 1) Rodgers performs magic yet again and the offense plays ball control - short passes and effective running, thus keeping Ryan and company off the field, and/or 2) Ryan has an off-day, throwing a couple picks. He is certainly a really good QB and had an MVP-type season, but he has shown that he can have a clunker of a game.
I don't think a pure shootout, just winging the ball all over the place, is going to work for the Packers today.
At least for me as a fan, I am cool with the Falcons (and living in Atlanta, I of course have a lot of Falcons-fan friends, and not the obnoxious type), so if the Packers lose, I will be ok with the Falcons making it to the Superb Owl and will be happy for my friends. Contrast this to two years ago, where I had to watch the Seahawks make the Big Game.
Lol at someone trying to scam cald in the Falcons thread for the second week in a row. Pinny has been the default in SE and previously in other subforums for at least what 10 years now?
