Maybe the topward ones are showing more consistency lately or something, but any of them seem like they could take an Ugla turn (see what I did there?) at any time. Meat Chicken's wart==sucking for so many years, and that seems the least relevant wart at this time.

1 Michigan (5) Don't like it? Neither do I. 3 straight shutouts and defense allowing 1 score over their last five games. Oregon State, UNLV, BYU, Maryland, Northwestern. Not exactly murderers' row, but that's a different sport anyway and it's not like they've been playing FCS teams.

2 Alabama (1) Wart==Nuke Laloosh at qb, defense vulnerable to big plays
3 Baylor (2) Wart==have not met a defense yet
4 Clemson (6) Wart==mediocre to bad play vs. Louisville & needed turnover luck to beat ND at home.
5 LSU (8) Wart==tight games as huge favorites, no qb.
6 Ole Miss (10) Wart==getting blown away at Florida
7 Utah (4) Wart==statistics. Just like the poll, I put them 7th. In my case, it means if you give them 7 turnovers, they will beat you.

8 Ohio State (7) Wart==everything?
9 Stanford (12) Wart==Shaw, losing to NW
10 TCU (11) Wart==the shootout pattern, specifically against weaker teams
11 Florida (17) Wart==slow start to the season, sucking for years
12 Notre Dame (14)
13 Oklahoma (9)
14 Texas A&M (18)
15 UCLA (16)
16 Florida State (15)
17 Georgia (13)
18 Boise State (22)
19 Cal (19)
20 Oklahoma State (23)
21 West Virginia (20)
22 Iowa (24)
23 Washington (U)
24 USC (3) Oops
25 Mississippi State (25)
Can't put Michigan 1 with Utah 7. Can't do it. Or Ole Miss jumping after beating a hapless opponent a week after looking like a Florida sorority sister.

TCU 11th? Bit of an overreaction to a road comeback win in conference. These rankings are pure AIDS

Surely just an honest mistake when prescription meds interfere with grey goose, good guess is that his doctor failed to warn him about the side effects of mixing the meds with harmless alcohol.

So if Florida beats LSU it has to be 1. Florida right?
NCAAF Week 6 rankings and discussion Quote

It already has to be 1. Florida

This is a big psychological question. It's about the difference in human reaction to headlines vs being with someone daily or close to it before the same event happens.

No value judgment on either, just pointing out the difference. It's pretty universal. Constantly happening as we speak.

I have a lot of thoughts about this week's lines / my model / these rankings. But there's a lot going on in my house (people in town etc.), so I'll just put this up without comment and return for more discussion later.

Can do it. Did it. Utah just received 7 turnovers and a luckily missed late figgie en route to surviving a home game by 25 yards plus watched their Oregon cap-feather lose again.

Ole Miss is helped by Florida easily covering in a road game and their rise is more about others sinking.

TCU is 10th. They were 11th last week and much lower the week before when they needed a lucky bounce on 4th & goal to beat Texas Tech.

It's just my opinion.

I'm almost positive Michigan is better than Utah. Florida ~ Utah I think.

UK is at least in the "win out and maybe need help, a loss is doom" category. But lol at UK winning out.

michigan definitely controls their own destiny with winning out. Need category of win out good, loss is doom

I think Michigan controls their own destiny at this point.

Also, a loss would doom Iowa because they have nobody at all left on their schedule. So probably lump them in with ikes' proposed category with Michigan.

yeah but i got lazy with categories

also didn't include everyone obviously (such as the wildcats)

actually everyone in the maybe needs help category would mostly get in, the biggest distinguish was a loss dooming them and not the category above them
