I'm sorry, but the above rankings aren't good at all. No way Arkansas is 7.South Carolina 25. Stanford 13. Auburn 10. I think your model just decides "oooo, close game between high ranked teams, keep them high."

The SEC west isn't God good and the committee subsist echoing that. Ole Miss has one good win. Their wins are finally being devalued. Ok, have a tough conference schedule and an ooc schedule of pasties. Still gotta win those games.

Seriously how does a team go 2-5 in their conference and be #7 in the country. Their only road win is @Texas Tech.

How is Stanford, a 6-5 team at 13, what's their best win, @Washington?

I do like how your model doesn't leave any opportunity for a jopke Big Ten team to make the playoff.

Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Minnesota went 0-4 by an average score of 19-35 to ACC, Big 12, SEC, and Pac 12 opponents.

You need to update all of the teams with 10 games played. Weird how you updated some but not all teams that played last week.

It's a power ranking. Unfortunately gb hasn't been differentiating between power ranking and how he would actually rank the teams if he was on the committee.

The SEC West all beating each other really shouldn't devalue anything. All of those teams play each other, so someone has to lose.

bama/FSU/oregon should win out. there's gonna be a real fun possiblity that tcu/OSU/baylor win out too.

maybe it's just me, but i dont think MSU should be in the conversation at all if any of the other 3 above win out.

Also,

Will take the no on:

Will Alabama beat Auburn and Georgia assuming they play both?

Fellow OSU/B1G fans other than schu: for the love of ****, can we please be objective? Stop spinning things and/or deluding yourselves. The conference sucks. And while SECW teams may have more losses, and perhaps should be ranked lower than OSU in the playoff rankings, it doesn't mean they're objectively worse teams. There's TONS of noise/randomness in football as there are so few games. It isn't odd for a team to run bad and still be better than a team with a great record. It's NORMAL.

The anger/disappointment should be directed at our own. Look at TSUN's recruiting class. Pathetic. They used to recruit nationally; they can't even recruit Detroit. Nebraska can't get Texas talent anymore. Penn st's grip on the east coast has loosened greatly.

We all better pray our non-Conf opponents scheduled in coming years have their **** together, Wisky keeps pulling Melvin Gordons out of their ass, and Ohio HS kids value being a Buckeye over playing against the best every week. Otherwise, it's not going to get better.

Which of the teams ranked below arkansas would you have favored over arkansas on a neutral field?

Texas +7 vs TCU
Washington St. +3.5 vs Washington
Ol' Miss +2.5 vs MSU

i predict two of the three home underdogs win.

oh, and i'll add that i have a lot of confidence that OSUw more than covers whatever the spread is at kickoff...most likely in a backdoor manner as UO pulls players to rest them for the P12 Champ game vs UCLA, but won't be surprised if OSU wrecks the dreams of Duck fans by winning outright.

OM, OU, and even Arky 10+ points better than Minnesota.

The top 3 in the B1G are very respectable but now even Nebraska has joined the rest of the bunch in AIDSville.
