Drake used to be decent.
AAC now will have 5-7 potentially good programs.
Houston
UConn
Cincy
SMU
Temple
Memphis
Wichita State
All have good basketball programs; UConn has 4 titles; Houston was great in the 80s and have a great football team. Cincy has always been good/decent at times. SMU has been good lately. Temple is decent and Memphis used to be good but now is mediocre under Tubby. They should be on par or better than the old CUSA with L-ville, Memphis, Cincy.
There are really only a few good teams in crap conferences left; Gonzaga in the WCC with St. Marys and BYU (maybe WCC isn't crap). If they gut the A10 and AAC with the best basketball teams they'd have a conference probably as good as the new Big East; won't happen though.
