I'm kinda mad that Duke has now fully embraced one and done recruiting.

Wendell is a legit smart kid who values academics though. By all the accounts I had heard here locally (I know multiple people who have kids at the school he goes to) he was seriously considering Harvard. This school is a top notch private school that has sent players to Harvard before and students there regularly and he is a great student who wants a degree eventually even if not in the immediate future. For some guys we have gotten in the past or even this years freshman the credibility of the school itself didn't play a role but I think it very well could have for him.

Also he's been a lock to come to Duke for two weeks or whatever now. Him and Gary Trent Jr. are on the record as wanting to go the same place and haven't wavered on that for at least a year now. Earlier reports were that Gary favored Kentucky (and he said as much about them being the best place to prepare for the NBA) and Wendell favored Duke so when Gary committed to Duke it was basically a lock that Wendell was coming too.

The way he has played the last 2 seasons he shouldn't start over OG, but yeah IU would slide OG to the 3 and Hayes in at the 4 and kick out Newkirk/Morgan I guess. He's now in a 41 game slump though, so his 40% 2 point shooting may be a real thing. He better get that foul drawn rate back to 6.5 and start making fros.

Games were on all day last couple days, streamed on youtube. Best game was Valpo vs Bama probably, others were all smaller schools. Pretty sure it was just a few alumni and gamblers who were watching and it was the gamblers doing all the chatting. They were excellent streams. BDGlobal did them. Men who Speak out Event and Gulf Coast Showcase were 2 of the tourneys.
