Uh selection is definitely an issue. But yeah I think it's probably fair if they select teams based on wins/losses only and then seed teams based on predictive elements.

So if you had to pick now, you're putting in #205 Sam Houston State (17-7, #311 SoS) over #21 Oklahoma State (15-9, #1 SoS)?

Are you leveling? This post is a super dumb strawman. Neither me nor KenPom has argued that you should simply select the teams with the best records. Obviously you still need to adjust for schedule, home/away, etc.

The point is to come up with a system that only uses wins/losses as inputs and not MOV. If you don't understand why then reread the KenPom blog post again until you get it. You can easily improve on RPI while still only considering wins/losses.

Yawn. Dook goes 6-15 from deep and the best they can do is a 1 pt half time lead at home. Berry hasn't even got going yet. Bring on the 2nd half

Game is intense thus far.

I've never like UNC's style of play, but it can be damn effective. Seems like most years (some more than other) they don't always have traditionally great offensive players... but they run like hell and get tons of fast break points, they o-rebound like crazy, and out-tough you. And then if they actually have good offensive players to go with that stuff, they'll be really really good.

You say that like 6-15 is some wild outlier, lol. That's perfectly standard. Duke is shooting 37% 3pt on the year and that's 40%.

That was the only difference between the 2 teams in the 1st half and dook is at home but was still only up 1.
