Florida State is crazy long
01-18-2017 , 09:42 PM
I feel like we're underdogs the rest of this game but maybe ND will steal another road win.
01-18-2017 , 09:48 PM
What a battle. Like two heavyweights landing haymakers.
01-18-2017 , 10:19 PM
Well, that was frustrating. Turn them over with ~4 seconds to go, shooters open everywhere down 3, and Beachem just gets stuffed under the basket instead of kicking it to one of them. Wtf
01-18-2017 , 11:37 PM
ND loses while shooting 15-21, 71.4% on 3s. Is that the highest %, minimum 20 attempts, in a losing effort this season?

this season, hell maybe ever.

It appears OG is out for the year. Tom Crean has had no injury luck at all at IU.

2010-Maurice Creek(starter/leading scorer)- dislocates knee, career ruined.
2011-Maurice Creek-Tears ACL
2012-Verdell Jones(Sr 4 year starter)-tears ACL in BTT (was least important starter)
2013-Matt Roth(Shooter)-tears ACL in preseason
Derek Elston(SR)-hurt all year, misses half the season, barely plays
2014-Colin Hartman-Tears ACL
2016-James Blackmon Tears ACL
Robert Johnson gets hurt late in season and barely plays first weekend of tourney and can't play vs UNC in S16.
2017-Colin Hartman tears ACL in preseason
OG probably tears ACL last night
Morgan currently hurt and out

wtf is going on, 7 torn ACLs since 2010. Seems like some run bad.

The power rankings are starting to piss me off, it's impossible for FSU to rise no matter what they do. Still 18th in KenPom and Sag Predictor. They're now 5-1 in the ACC and 5 of those games were against ranked teams.

FSU is 17-2 overall, 4-1 vs. Sagarin Top 25, 7-1 vs. Top 50 (including 16 pt. win over Duke)
Duke is 14-4, 1-3 vs. Top 25, 2-4 vs. Top 50

How does that make any sense? I guess b/c the cupcakes Duke beat in OOC play were ranked 150ish instead of some terrible teams FSU beat in the 300s.

This must be the first time FSU fans ever pay attention to basketball, but 3 point home wins over teams you're ranked ahead of aren't going to help you out in kenpomland

so like IU last year

unbalanced schedule is dumb, but MD has had two years of tough big10 schedules

They get Rutgers at home next

Then they go @minnesota, @ohio state, vs Purdue, @Penn state

Will they even be a favorite in any of those 4 games?

IU's was favorable, but Marylands this year could be the best you ever see.

duke is just not good right now

what happened man
01-21-2017 , 10:46 PM
ok so as soon as I post that, duke goes on a 20-0 run.

Apparently I need to bitch about Duke more.

Lol not close to true.

If Duke plays like they have in this half they aren't only unbeatable but no one else is close to them
01-21-2017 , 10:58 PM
Miami is just falling apart. 1-11 with 12 turnovers in the second half so far. I've never seen a fairly good team like this just literally fall to pieces.
