Melo and IT would be brutal combo, especially if he plays the 3. You need Smart to improve and roll out IT/Bradley/Smart/Melo/Horford for it to work.

Have you seen Crowder play this series? Of the 30 starting 3s in the NBA, he's probably somewhere around 15th.

If the Knicks get one of the Brooklyn picks + Crowder, it's obviously not as much lolknicks, but the article doesn't discuss the if there are any other assets to be included in this trade.

I'd rather have melo than crowder

there'd have to be other assets given salary. crowder is pretty good, getting out of melo's deal and getting him in the process seems like a win on the surface

I don't see how on any level this wouldn't be a big win for Knicks. Anthony has negative value given his enormous contract (plus for Knicks having him hurts development of KP), while Crowder has a good amount of value given his cheap contract (I'd assume that if he were a FA he'd easily clear $10 million a season).

Given that people were discussing whether the Knicks should just cut Anthony, they'd be idiots to not snap call this trade.

Pretty massive understatement.

Bazemore got 4/70.

yeah i'm being generous. i'd snap call it

edit: that trade would also increase boston's equity so it's not like a straight up loss but i don't think they are a real contender w/melo either so w/e

Can't see celtics giving up crowder for melo, a trade around marcus smart and some bad picks could work though - melo's trade kicker could be an issue

Thay3r's hard work shining up the turd that is Melo might finally pay off.

lol @ the idea that the Celtics are "close to trading for Carmelo" in the middle of a playoff series.

My buddy sang the national anthem tonight. I got to stand at mid court pre game.

They say, “He never seen a shot he don’t like.”

“He’s got irrational confidence.”

“He thinks he’s the best player in the NBA.”

Hell yeah I do.

I have to.

Listen, now you know where I’m from. Picture yourself walking into a South Philly playground at 12 years old, with grown-ass men, bleachers packed with people, trying to get a run in.

You think you can survive in Philly without irrational confidence?

You will never in your life hear the words, “I can’t” come out of Dion Waiters’ mouth.

I can. I will. I already did.
What a legend
