I very much do not agree, I know we've had this discussion before and most of you do.

If you enjoy 25 point blowouts lol sure. Nothing like seeing 29 year old gifted athletes sitting on the bench because they are being rested 4 games into the season.

You can always enjoy the excitement of 3 yard runs a 4 yard passes the NFL offers if you don't enjoy seeing people who can actually execute at the highest level of their sport.

As a man who gets paid 20mm a year airballs a free throw... goes both ways bro.

Harden with 4 straight games of 30pt, 10ast. They weren't kidding when they said he was going to be the PG. Probably will go down once Beverley gets back.

Howdy all, gonna start posting again, have missed you guys! I'm doing some NBA podcasting this year, so I'm gonna be closely following the regular season back like I used to in the TZ glory days. A few random early season thoughts:

-This is gonna be the strangest year ever for MVP. I guess Kawhi would be my pick, but I can't think of a season with such a lack of clear contenders. Westbrook is a trendy pick, but its hard to win MVP when you're not a top 5 player and you don't play on a top 5 team(I could be proven wrong on either of those I guess).

-Embiid, Brow, Towns, Porzingis....one time please let all these guys stay healthy for the next few years! The modern NBA with versatile and athletic Centers(which is the best position for all these guys longerm) is so much better. Three years ago the Centers on the All-NBA team were Joakim Noah, Dwight Howard, and Al Jefferson. The floor spacing and offensive flow is so much better when your C can shoot 3s, dribble the ball, and post up. Imagine 50 years from now when everyone is a 7 footer with Steph Curry's jumpshot, lol.

-What do the Wizards do if they miss the playoffs again? They are 1-5 after missing the playoffs last year- I have to think they start questioning the Wall/Beal/Otto core if they miss again. I think theres a really strong chance that Beal and Otto would look great in the right system(and are thus currently undervalued in the trade market), and while I love certain things about Wall(rim protection from a PG!!!) its pretty clear that he is the player with the limiting skillset(inability to shoot). What about something like a Wall for Boogie trade?

-Wow things got bad in Dallas fast. I'm looking at their roster now and its hard to think of a team in recent memory with a worst "best asset"....what even is it? I guess its their upcoming 1st rounder in next year's draft which is most likely projected to be in the 3-7 range. Harrison Barnes on that huge deal certainly can't be a positive asset. Justin Anderson is their only other guy under 30 with any intrigue.

Justin Anderson and Seth Curry are the only positive Dallas assets that I can see.

In terms of MVP, I think it's going to come down to Kawhi or Durant.

Something seriously needs to be done about this overrated, out of touch moron. I can't take anymore of this

Sources: Phil Jackson unhappy with Knicks' limited use of triangle offense
Quote:
The Knicks rank 13th in offensive efficiency thus far. A bigger issue for the club is on defense; it entered play Monday ranked last in the NBA in points allowed per 100 possessions, which is likely bothering Jackson just as much as the offense.
We just scored 110 points vs the best defense in the league and the team has had 5 games to learn to play together and you're whining about the offense?? Just collect your ridiculous pay check and shut the **** up.

Dats it mane
11-08-2016 , 04:36 PM
Man Sometimes I feel like Phil is just hugely trolling all of New York but I don't know. Sorry Geoff, knicks fans really deserve better than they've gotten the last twenty years or so.

I hated the Barnes signing and thought he was garbage. But he has been legit good so far this season. Much better handle and shot creating than I thought he was capable of. It looks like he really worked hard this offseason (and from everything I have read, it sounds like he did). It's paying off. People forget he's only 23, so signing him to that deal doesn't look bad at all now in my opinion. With the way he is playing, he could be a contender's third best player, and if he improves, he could be a second best player on a contender. I know I'm being results oriented bc I initially hated the signing, but for a 23 year old it turned out to be a chance worth taking for Dallas. Hopefully he just doesn't win us too many games.

Curry has also been good, and Anderson is always good when he plays. We'd be much better if Anderson starting taking over Wes's starter minutes.

But overall I agree. We are a dumpster fire.
11-08-2016 , 05:26 PM
Barnes has been good, it's just hard to be a positive asset on a max in general. He looked rly impressive vs Milwaukee though, guarding Jabari/Giannis and holding his own while basically being a one man offense.

Based on the season so far, are spurs or warriors more likely to win west?
11-08-2016 , 07:25 PM
Spurs have no shot of winning the west except with injuries. They'd get roasted by the clippers or warriors
11-08-2016 , 08:13 PM
We are like six games into the season guys.

great to see nate duncan dutifully livetweeting nba all night - what a beast
11-09-2016 , 01:48 AM
Nate thinks the Nugs got screwed, love him.

Can someone tell me how Thibs has overhauled Minnesota's defense? Looks pretty similar to me.
11-09-2016 , 01:52 AM
WIGGZ

You gotta figure the defense, with a team full of young guys, is gonna take a bit. This was never gonna be the year for Minny anyway.
11-09-2016 , 01:58 AM
Denver turned theirs around over the offseason, or at least it appears, and they are just as young.

The funny thing is they are pretty much running Thib's defense

Minnesota has been by far the worst defense ITL thus far. The only reason they aren't dead last (might be after tonight), is that they were gifted a win by Fizdale deciding to trot into the Target center with this starting lineup:

Troy Williams
JaMychal Green
Jarrell Martin
Wade Baldwin
James Ennis

They had a Drating of 82 that game... which was their only win.
