As a raps fan I'd be pretty excited about cojo/first for Noel. Cojo is good but delon Wright is pretty similar, and Noel could be nice with Val

Yea if Noel is even half decent the Raps do that in a minute. A decent backup PG and like the 25th pick of the draft for a former #1?

Why would the Sixers want Corey Joseph though? He's not a starting PG in this league. I know they have to dump Noel but that doesn't really solve any long term problems

If BPA this year is a big man, how on earth can they possibly justify drafting another PF/C? It'd be asburd.

I thought Ingram vs Simmons was very close, but that Ingram would be a much better fit for the sixers. He can play 3 and maybe even 2 down the road (depending on how his defense comes along). Frankly, a lineup with Sergio/Ingram/Saric/Embiid isn't half bad, and Okafor could come off the bench to be a post version of Jamal Crawford - a really good scoring option while the starters rest. Whatever warts Okafor has, he's a legit post up machine and can get a ~50% shot basically whenever he wants. Trade noel for any kind of serviceable 2 guard and you're in business.
The bolded isn't true. If you're going to include Saric, you need to include MCW as well, as he was drafted higher.

Ingram is most likely the better fit (I say likely because the Sixers lacked creators) but I thought both Simmons' ceiling and floor were higher than Ingram. I wouldn't have expected many teams to take Ingram over Simmons.

Yeah the Okafor pick is the main cause of the logjam. None of the 3 Centers are likely to be able to play the 4, so I don't see the Simmons pick as much of a fit issue. His only competition for minutes at the 4 should be Saric, who mostly just projects as a rotation player. Also, Simmons can probably get minutes elsewhere and co-exist with Saric, and if not, you decrease Saric's minutes or move him. You're not passing on Simmons because you have Saric.

Pre-draft I wanted us to take Winslow, Porzingis, or Hezonja with the Okafor pick. The situation would be vastly improved with any of them (even if Hezonja sucks).

As for the Raptors trade, really hoping we don't end up with Ross and I'm not super thrilled about a Joseph deal either. Powell would be a nice target but it would be difficult to make the salaries match up.

Edit: Would have to be something like Noel for Powell, Delon, Bruno. I don't know how that looks from a value perspective for either side though.

Meh, Raptors have so much depth and Cojo plays an important role for them. I know it's not really possible, but they could package a couple of those guys for an expiring star like Cousins or whomever and even if it's not a great fit, they could flip (do a 3way) for a slightly less great star who's a better fit.

I don't see the Sixers getting nearly that much for Noel. And doesn't Toronto already have a crowded front court?
11-05-2016 , 11:55 PM
The Okafor pick never made any sense, especially since Philly seems to want to hang onto Noel and Embiid. Why draft the player that creates the logjam with the players you wish to keep? The Lakers avoided this very problem by drafting Russell. They knew they had Randle coming back from injury and while he can be stretched out a bit to the perimeter in his game, drafting Okafor still would have been redundant. Okafor was a poor man's Towns and a consolation prize for a team already filled at that position. If they could not draft someone else they liked, they should have traded out.

They thought Okafor was BPA and the team stunk. I don't really have a problem with it even tho it makes things awkward now.

Is it that much? I'm honestly not sure what league perception is for those guys. Powell hasn't been getting minutes this year. Delon is hurt and didn't get many minutes last year and is at best their third PG (plus they have VanVleet to replace him). I liked him as a prospect though. Bruno has never gotten minutes but is probably awful and it's surprising they picked up his option for next year.

Has anyone ever led their team in all 5 major statistical categories? LBJ, Oscar, Hakeem maybe?

You can't really Lol at the 3rd or 4th best team in the league anymore or then you're just loling at the NBA.

DDR is an all star and he improves as consistently as any player in the league. Just watch if you don't believe me

I have to admit, I never thought Embiid's bones would hold up to the rigors of a 5 game season.

Idk moose is playing less that 20 mpg
11-06-2016 , 12:03 PM
And he's a lock to be traded at the deadline, if not sooner.
11-06-2016 , 01:09 PM
i have no clue about the bucks or their mpg, possible trades, etc. Just seemed like that was the only stat where he could get eclipsed. others seem like a lock.
