Prepare for Bogut to move to like Denver for a small asset and then be bought out. This saves Denver money due to reaching the floor. Couple other potential teams can do this type of thing too

So now Ainge is waiting by the phone for Bulls to come in and say "wait wait" and maybe give up a little value

Could be true.

If im the bulls/pacers and this years nets picks and Smart+Brown are on the table im shipping and rebuilding.

Celts should just get Drummond too if they're going to get George. No half measures.

my guess is two years from now the protection might be 1-6 and PHI sees the most value in Noel via a cheap wing with upside (Anderson) and a lottery pick two years from now.

trust the process, etc.

i don't see much of an issue with this deal, Embiid/Saric is the future for this franchise and Holmes is proving to be a good value contract for the backup 4 slot. I don't see Noel as a good fit with this roster longterm even though the defensive metrics are elite. Better to have Embiid and the spacing that Saric provides, just imo.
Saric is a future bench piece. Embiid/Simmons is the future.

The main issue is that we wasted a ton of time on the Okafor/Embiid pairing despite it being a predictable failure, yet we only did 8 minutes of due diligence on Noel/Embiid. Those 8 minutes were glorious though.

Yea I agree on Noel being a bad fit but shouldn't just be given away. Obv mavs pick isn't gonna move this year so depends on the protections for next year. If it's 1-6 then it's a better pick though mavs will stink again and could even easily land there

Gonna lol Philly

Just give Colangelo time .... he will eventually squander all of Hinkie's assets.

Guy was a total fish on a heater in his first season in Toronto and then got found out for the fraud he is.

Yup. It has begun.

Still hearing Okafor is likely on the move.

seems impossible for colangelo to squander the lakers/kings picks unless he seriously made a run at jimmy butler. who else would fit in their roster/timeframe that would be worth making a run at?
02-23-2017 , 01:14 PM
come on pacers! would love to land the Nyets pick + Smart/Brown.
02-23-2017 , 01:17 PM
I assume most of the Nets 1st + asset player/s for PG are just guys throwing stuff at the wall hoping it sticks. Lol Ainge if he's considering something like that their window will really start to open up almost right as PG hits 30 and starts to decline.

I like Noel on Dallas a lot. It seems great from the perspective of both the fit now and building towards a post-Dirk future. It's easy to forget he's only 22 years old.

Get Hinkie back asap to finish the process

Yeah DAL won that deal by a ****load. I don't see Anderson ever being a viable NBA piece and I was pretty high on him predraft relative to his draft position.
02-23-2017 , 01:23 PM
noel to dallas hurts their draft equity by a good clip

i've long believed in the hot take that rick carlisle is sneakily one of the worst coaches in the league by future team EV metrics, he's so good that they're destined for the 10th pick instead of a legit top 3 sweat.
02-23-2017 , 01:24 PM
I guess Anderson has attitude problems and might be locker room cancer. Bad look
02-23-2017 , 01:26 PM
Embiid now longest tenured sixers.

Also he's out at least 4 more games. Philly gonna go hard into tank after having a little run

Probably can get him for a reasonable deal as well.

He should definitely be playing 30mpg for someone.

That is an incredible selling low moment for the 76ers, especially since they didn't lock it up as a 3 team deal for a Bogut landing spot. Now there's very little leverage in their attempts to dump Bogut since everybody knows he's getting bought out.

Gerald Green and Avery Bradley apparently held out of Celtics practice itshappening.gif

Ugh, I hate this idea.

The Nets pick is being wildly overrated. A top 4 pick in a draft without a clear #1 pick is not worth giving up PG.

Hold firm, build around PG and Turner in the offseason and if you still think PG is bailing when the 2018 deadline rolls around then you can move him then.
02-23-2017 , 01:36 PM
the nets picks are not overrated. ball and fultz are elite prospects that could line up amazingly with Turner. they are both basically clear #1 picks, tho I give a slight favor to Ball.

would presume they go after the '17 pick and not the '18 pick.
