Where did you see Minnesota declined the trade? I couldnt find anything like that on the internet but my search engine goes to diff stuff then yours most likely.
All the MN writers. Jon Krawczynski, Twin Cities AP Sports Guy. Brit Robison MinnPost Timberwolves beat reporter. Darren Wolfson KSTP Timberwolves guy. Dan Barrero Star Tribune/KFAN sports guy.

They all have the story of Detroit making the proposal and Thibs snap declining without countering. Makes sense since Rubio's better than Jackson and has a better contract.

Also seems to think Reggie is better than Rubio.

Should trade Rose and CLee for Rubio and KCP

Or he thinks Reggie is more valuable to the Pistons than Rubio would be. And he would be correct
01-21-2017 , 10:22 PM
Reggie might be the difference between 39 and 37 wins. Obviously can't trade him for Rubio. I'm sure SVG berated the stupid MEDIA jerk that asked about that deal.

The team that will throw money at Jingles this summer will make a great deal

Dude is a top tier 3&D guy and he's now capable of handling the ball and dishing assists

Nice to see Cousins giving some props to the refs

Nice, Boogie. That was the worst call I've seen all year. WAIDS blows an open dunk in a tie game with like 14s left and they call that? It's kind of hard to tell but the extent of him touching Wade seems to literally be a fingertip touch. Napear got super heated about it, it was great.
01-22-2017 , 08:08 PM
Oh yes, there are a bunch of Napear rants on YouTube

I still remember the first time I heard him losing it, I was driving through SAC like 8 years ago and he was on the radio. He had a couple bad callers in a row and just lost it, legit heated. I couldn't believe it was the guy in the Kings booth.

Are both reggie jackson and rubios contract considered negative assets at this point?
01-23-2017 , 01:17 AM
Brandon Ingram got the start at point guard today. He was -45. Against the Mavs.

He wanted to make KAT feel better for overtaking him, such a nice guy. Team player that Jokic is.
01-23-2017 , 06:59 PM
It's very sweet the way he lets everyone in the league score.
01-23-2017 , 07:55 PM
Well technically that's not true:

Post ups

NIKO - .68PPP / 81st percentile
KAT - .81PPP / 63rd percentile

Iso's

NIKO - .79PPP / 63rd percentile
KAT - .79PPP /63rd percentile

He's been a better post defender than KAT and equal in ISO's, so it's not like he's letting guys score He's really bad at help D though, but overall ranks as a much better defender than KAT via RPM (KAT -.9 dead last JOK -1.41 slightly above average).

The difference is he looks TERRIBLE when he gets beat, he just gets beat a lot less and/or tries a lot more. There is nothing sexy about turning 55% shots into 50% shots, but that's how he plays D. It's similar to Tim Duncan (and I'm in no way comparing them defensively) where he would force a bunch of misses but get overpowered by some centers.

Wow Towns dropped below Okafor
01-23-2017 , 08:16 PM
I think it's more an indictment on the players around him than Towns himself, but isn't that what RPM accounts for? He sure didn't look bad last night, although it was the epitome of a schedule win.

Some notable RPM stats halfway through the season:

CP3 GOAT

IT2 is Dead Last in dRPM by a FULL POINT, though he has also been a Top 10 Offensive player and overall a positive

Other notable defensive sieves: Knight, LaVine, Ingram and Dame

Wiggins has been the worst defender taller than ~6'3 besides Ingram

Jabari and Saric have been the worst defensive PF's

Only 9 Centers have a negative dRPM: Towns, Okafor, FRANK, Joffrey, Kanter, Jonas, BroLo, RoLo and Mozgod

DeRozan has been essentially a neutral player (2.25 oRPM, -1.85 dRPM) while Lowry has been the 2nd best player in the league.

No Big comes even close to Boogie on offense. He's at a full +5 while other offensive studs Jokic, Love, Jabari and Towns are approaching +3.

It accounts for the players around him in a sense, but if bad defensive teammates constantly give Towns more opportunities to exhibit his bad defense, his numbers will look worse than if his defenders prevented so many opportunities.

i'd say the numbers more reflect the fit and team's synergy but at the same time it doesn't mean KAT hasn't been super awful on defense because a good defender's dRPM numbers would look even better under the same circumstances.

So is this a good time to revisit the Otto Porter for Wiggins idea that was laughed at, in particular by your younger bro? Dude has not improved one iota despite developing "skills" that are pretty much unnecessary.

In a few weeks we will be revisiting the "rather have Gary Harris"

Wiggins is still only 21 with a skillset of a taller quicker MJ so I think it's way too early to give up on him, even if he might always be a little bitch.
