argument was made last year. encourages in-game posting of a reasonable standard and creates discussions that logically transition into the thread. ymmv but that's the case.

come on, this works both ways. "wade through 150 posts" = click the last page button then scroll to the end of game posting. the question is always content generation, as alluded to above. example that's been used before is the soccer threads, where the discussion is of a reasonable level and a differentiated game thread isn't even a consideration. how many discussions legitimately span multiple days and get interrupted by gameday posting? (as opposed to the discussions that are spurred by game posting, which seem pretty frequent offhand)
seems like popular consensus is behind a single gameday thread, which is fine (lol KID), but the reasons some people prefer a single thread are pretty obvious
