Heart NBA Season Thread 2011-2012
O come, all ye faithful!



Your faith has been rewarded with a season that includes Christmas Day basketball. Just over a week from now, titans will battle. Past, present and future kings will take to the Church of Basketball to write the first chapter of this year's epic NBA saga.

Behold! I bring to you yet another season with intrigue beyond your wildest dreams. Last season's super team clash between the Heat and Lakers never occurred, and my friend Dirk Nowitzki was rewarded with his Job like perseverance.

This season, the questions abound! No sense of inevitabilty. Can the Mavs repeat their magical performance? Will the Heat find the missing Something that they are missing? Who has the best team in Los Angeles? Can the upstart Bulls steal the best record again? Memphis, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Boston, New York all have lofty aspirations - and all would enjoy a visit from my physical form sometime around the trade deadline. How will it all play out?

I'm not telling.

But I promise you're going to enjoy it.

So, faithful ones, sit back, relax and get ready for a shortened-schedule, compressed and intense joy ride. In the meantime, I'm going to go get some nachos - all this foreshadowing has gotten me mighty hungry.

Please rise as one, and let us NBA.
