Teams don't gameplan to attack their 5'9 player on defense as much. Their other perimeter players are really good defenders which makes hiding him easier. Teams just run their regular stuff a lot of times, even if going at IT makes sense, they still don't do it as much as they would in a 7 game series. Don't get me wrong, he still gets abused but playoffs it's a different level.
This same player can get his shot off a lot easier when defenses aren't as dialed in. Bulls aren't exactly the Spurs defensively and they're taking away a lot of the easiest ways he would score this year. Considering based on #'s he was a top 10 offensive player in the league this year, this isn't a small thing.
So basically a ton of it just has to do with IT being a fraud. Not really his fault, no other 5'9 guys dropping 30 in the NBA but it's reality.
