Explain logically how Westbrook hurts Oladipo's 3 point shooting %, especially considering how his % went up this season and then he shot the same amount in the playoffs.

He shoots his regular season average and that's 10 more points, if Roberson shoots his career average of 50% from the line that's 8 more points. Russ put up +40. You're wanting so hard.

Yep. He sat 6 min last night and they were outscored 27-9. You can say all you want about Russ' defense but how the hell do you give up 27 points in 6 min with him on the bench? No one in the league is going to be able to regularly overcome **** like that.

Ironic that LeBron used to get criticized for deferring to sacks of **** now Russ getting criticized for not deferring to sacks of ****.

Look Russ is great and all and I'm trolling a little tiny bit but he deserves a lifetime of taking L's for caring about triple doubles so much. Doesn't make him a bad player just makes it more enjoyable when he does in fact lose.

Did you even watch the series? There was an argument for the regular season, but there's also the argument that the camaraderie building and the team commitment involved in him getting the triple double was good for everyone.

That kind of disparity happens to every superstar who also gets a lot of assists though, and seems to reflect more his 4th quarter style than a specific assist whoring strategy, so there still needs more work to be shown.

You're basically criticizing him for historically taking over 4th quarters this season with an historically high usage and point differential.

are those average assist times based on the game clock or time spent on the court

I'm a little RUSS'd out, I have nothing to add. He's great, if he played a little smarter he would be a little better. If he had better teammates he would probably still be playing right now.

I will say this though, that OKC win total for next season I am interested to see what it is. Seems doubtful he plays 80 games at that level again and the entire state won't really care if he gets MVP or a triple double again. I think West will be better as well.

OKC seems like a good letdown candidate if their talent level stays the same. And Taj is a FA that they might lose, I would think with his defensive versatility that he gets paid pretty well. Can't really space but some of the best foot speed at switching for a natural 4.

Thought he should've been in down the stretch over Adams. Seemed like kindof a pecking order thing for Adams to be in over him given Harden was giving it to him.

Also could see Kanter getting dealt. Useful player in a 30 team league but if you can't use him vs GS or Hou then he is probably more valuable to someone else.

If OKC never let Harden go and had Russ, KD, and Harden how likely would they have been to ship multiple rings?

Obviously pretty likely.

2013 and 2015 their seasons were derailed due to injuries, maybe with Harden those injuries don't happen? Who knows.

If you told me on 6/6/2012 (the night they won their 4th in a row against the Spurs to go to the finals after SA won 20 in a row) that this would be their last finals appearance I think we all would've lost some $ on that 1. You just never really know.

If they trade Russ instead of Harden they end up winning a title and keeping KD and winning several more titles.

But hey Russ averaged a triple double this year so there's that

Programming note: Wizards game starts in 10 minutes...Lol @ this scheduling

Crowd might be dead 1st half

Think Wiz should be fine as long as Kief Morris doesn't continue to get completely daddydicked by Millsap but it is just 3 games now, anything can happen.

edit: lol at the crowd, why even try regular season if the NBA is just gonna **** your HC up? What a joke of a league.

The Russ hate is way overblown. It is drastically more about LOLPresti than anything else with regard to the Thunder demise. The guy has literally almost never made a good decision since drafting Harden in 2009. You literally could not have done worse.

-Turned Jeff Green into Perkins who he then refused to amnesty and instead paid him 8-10m and started him for years when he sucked.
-Turned Harden into Adams
-Traded up to draft Aldrich
-Spent 1st Round picks on Huestis, McGary, Perry Jones, etc. Literally the only 1st round pick he has had that has turned into a positive asset since Harden was Adams
-Turned his one positive first round pick into a negative Asset by paying Adams 100m+
-Signed Olidipo for 100m+
-Now has no cap room and no good players because of the above two decisions.
-Turned Durant into nothing.
-Never acquired a single FA of note to put around all the top 5 players.
-Let Brooks continue to coach for years
-Has a fascination with starting at least 1-2 one way players (Thabo, Perkins, Roberson)
-Has had one of the most attrocious benches in the NBA for at least 5-6 years.
-Hasn't figured out that having good 3 point shooters is important.
-Derek Fisher
-Hired Donavan
-Im sure I'm forgetting a lot

CLIFFS - Inherited/Luckboxed Durant/RWB/Harden and never won a title and turned them all into zero assets/nothing.

Yet the guy was still getting his dick sucked by many even this year in SI. Its mind blowing and has driven me crazy for the last 5-6 years. He literally had the world gifted to him in OKC of all places and blew it as hard as he could and STILL HAS A JOB.

Wiz look bad

Wall J is broken and Howard/Millsap have the protection to keep him out of the paint.

Dwight starting to impose his will on Gortat, effecting the game more.

And again, that start time lol
