Amazing. And people aren't ragging on him for one bad game. The guy had 23 on 27 shots g1. He's wildly inefficient and obviously a defensible liability.

Sitting for the final 16 minutes of a playoff game is just unfathomable. I mean I'm well aware that's lue but for them to be +20 in that span while he's sucking pine is hilarious.

honestly aj i think you just gotta put down the haterade and give it to labron this time. that was a classic game that only adds to the many masterful performances from labron on the stage where we all knew he'd shine brightest: first round down 20 vs a 500 team. the chosen one is at his best when the pressure is off and the expectations are at rock bottom, and the result was another vintage labron masterpiece #respect

Listening to Lowe's podcast and he's making the same point some of us were saying that he believes RWB playing the way he has/is has a cost on the development of his teammates. Also says that some nba players told him they'd never want to be on his team

Is putting up 30/11/9 while playing 42m/game against the best regular season team of all time the same as a .500 team in the east? Seems so.

Those first rounds tho. Only able to put up against the PACER$

LeBron is basically Jack Bauer. Guy saves the world constantly despite haters and doubters, singlehandedly wills the greatest comeback of all time in the NBA Finals while leading all players in every counting stat, yet the next year everyone forgets and doesn't even want to let him do his job at CTU. Cmon man

You don't think lineups that are SG SG exist?

I was a young lad but I recall Kerr playing a rather traditional SG role when he played on Mark Price's Cavs teams.

Great analogy.

Appears the SWITCH is now in the ON position.

Almost ready to declare Cavs favorites to rang now.

The first half of playoff games is just the regular season to LeBron.

All the LeBron supporters in this thread are fighting imaginary enemies at this point. LeBron bashers were dumb three years ago, and at this point, the only ones left are obvious trolls. We don't need any more vigorous defenses of LeBron as a basketball player. He has a few flaws, but on balance, he is the most impactful player in the league pretty much every year. Everyone agrees on that point.

It doesn't follow, of course, that the Cavs are some kind of lock just because LeBron is the best player. Like any other sane person, at even money, I would happily bet absurd amounts of money that the Warriors will go deeper into the playoff than the Cavs, or beat the Cavs if both teams make the finals.

Nah they just disappeared (for the most part) after last year's historic performance. The haters were out in full force after Game 4, led by AIDSBlackDan. If he loses this year they'll be back.

yup agreed, but i don't see those narrative gaining much traction if lue has anything to say about it. for all the hate he receives, lue is a confirmed genius psychological tactician who def understands that it's time to pump the breaks lest labron feel the burden of responsibility that has so reliably crushed him in the past

lue won't let the cavs get anywhere near favourite status for the finals - he knows that you have to gently coax labron into performing in the playoffs, you can't just expect him to just go out there and do what he's capable of like a normal player. if you could then labron would have 10 rings cos nobody can beat the labron we saw tonight

in lue we trust

As long as there are people that consider MJ GOAT, there will be a need for vigorous LeBron defense. I consider MJ GOATers trolls, but am aware it's not considered an untenable position.

Jerian Grant and MCW should have no problem filleting IT. Still a big break for the Celts though. Go from drawing dead to simply big dogs.

Rondo is uh not good so agree with KC. Regarding Kerr seems fair to say he played pg on defense-- actually, I'm just kind of assuming this-- and sg on offense. Disagree that your defensive role dictates your position. "Point" and "shooting" guard pretty clearly reference offensive roles for example
