Yeah you right. I think he'll be this years Giannis who is probably nowhere near top ten.

I think the Lakers schedule has a lot to do with time zones too. Less teams out west to host late games. The Kings and Suns also got a surprising amount of national games as well. Some of it might just be competition out west too. When you are finding over half the Warriors games to put on national tv you're gonna have more games vs other west teams and other teams in their division. Same goes for the other West teams to a lesser extent that are just better than their east counterparts making them better for national tv and by proxy the teams they are playing more likely to show up on tv too.

National tv schedule looks pretty good though. They always have tons of Lakers games but at least the Lakers should be a lot more fun this year and the schedule makers rightfully gutted the Knicks and Bulls games compared to normal. There's a dark universe out there somewhere where this unwatchable Bulls team is still put on National tv a lot because of their gigantic fanbase but luckily that universe is not ours.

Where does Isiah Thomas rank among PGs all time?

I put him in the 15-25 range, some people put him in 5-10.

Magic
Cp3
Stockton
Curry
Oscar

Are my top 5. Nash/rwb/Parker/kidd/iverson/Chauncey/kj as better. Tim h/wall/lowry/Sam likely better. I really don't like isiah but after that pg gets pretty thin.

About 10 spots ahead of the 80s one.

Seems kinda cautious given how high you are on Jokic-Millsap - but having so many games against the rest of the west probably doesn't help.

So the Knicks tried trading STAPS to the Celtics to draft BALL?

Lol Celtics

Seems like Cleveland want to trade Kyrie for KP + Noah.

But i checked on espntrademachine and the real deal the Cavs can do is:

Noah + Lee for LeBron

This ensures that Kyrie knows he's the man, gives the Cavs a like for like replacement SF, but with better 3pt shooting, a handy big man starter and removes the headache of how to rebuild the team after LeBron's inevitable "Teh Exit, II" TV special next spring.

Of course the Knicks are the losers here as they give up two players and only get one in return. But the Knicks management is so historically bad that they probably don't notice this.

C'mon Cavs - pull the trigger on this one.

I just read that the Cavs don't want to take on Noah's contract in a trade.

It’s make-or-break Knicks season for Jeff Hornacek — especially with David Blatt looming in background

Blatt, who has enjoyed tremendous success abroad, owns an impressive resume. No question about it. But you know the old saying, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. And Blatt has connections with people in high places inside the Knicks front office, namely team president Steve Mills and newly hired front office executive Craig Robinson.

All three were teammates at Princeton under legendary coach Pete Carril and remain close. You can connect the dots from here.
I would love to see Blatt coaching back in the NBA for the KNACKS.

Infuriating if true. I wanted this trade to happen so bad and it made sense for both teams.

It makes no sense at all without makeweights from Boston to NY - and it's a stretch even then unless its something like both of the Nets picks for KP - and even then the pushback if either run below the 75th percentile of expectation would be huge.

KP is essentially untradeable at this point.

F'sure. if next year is disappointing for reasons independent of coaching, injuries, etc, then the situation will change. But for now the prospective upside is still so high that the only conceivable trades are with similar untouchable youngs KAT, Jok, AD, Giiannis - and then .. why would either side really consider it?

LOL Ainge

That's an auto snap call.

But I mean when you can trade down and draft a player who's ceiling is Carmelo Anthony you gotta do it!

Lonzo >>>KP as an asset

1) the point here is what is the upside - not the EV - of the asset

2) even if that wasn't the point your view is nuts

3) Frank >>>> Lonzo

Frank >>>> Lonzo is an indefensible take. The Lonzo hate is out of control

Lonzo has significantly more upside than KP. Lonzo's upside is still best player itl.

KP's is no longer close to that. KP is a big underdog to ever be a top 20 player.
08-15-2017 , 07:46 PM
Frank probably wont even get a second contract

According to reports at that time the offer was Staps for Brown, Smart plus the 1 and next years BKN pick.

There are a number of young players itl who have GOAT/top5OAT equity.

KP is one of them. For each of them it's slim, but realistic.

Lonzo clearly has no conceivable equity aorn, eg, to be as good as Magic. If he grows 5 inches, fixes his broken shot and gets more hops then yeah, mebbe. O wait .. damn ..
