Car wash/Dry cleaners were the easiest way to launder money back in the day.

Btw-

Steph/Conley/Lowry/George Hill/LONZO
Klay/Beal/Redick/Bradley/Middleton
LBJ/Kawhi/Durant/Hayward/George/Butler/Gallo
LBJ/Millsap/Love
Gobert/TRG/DAJ/Towns/Brow/Staps/Jokic

There I just built a superteam around LeBron. Any 5 of those guys would be amazing fit. The whole point is entirely stupid, as it's basically saying "One-dimensional stars who do said one thing worse than LeBron can't be as good playing with him!". Who cares? They're stars so they'd find a way to come close to producing their value, and LeBron would be on the team so they'd still be really good. Obviously the best version of a LeBron team is one with a lot versatile guys, especially ones who can shoot.

How TuT can crush and be hilarious 90% of the time but then lose any sense of rationality & objectivity when it comes to a single particular subject continues to baffle me. Deserves it's own 30 for 30 short imo.

Conley is a stronger man than i am, certainly wouldn't be happy staying with that women & raising another man child.

Most of those lineups would not be considered super teams and a year from now youd still be complaining that LeBron doesn't have enough help.

Once those players are turned into automated robots who have to wait for Queen James to pass it to them suddenly theyd suck itt.

Most teams sans removing a player or two from the warriors are going to at best struggle vs arguably the greatest NBA team created in modern times.

The warriors have the best wing scorer, best volume 3 point shooter and best defender in the league and they still have klay Thompson who is a damn good 3 point shooter and defender.

Most teams that could beat the warriors are not going to be very realistic.

Like Lebron/kawhi/Anthony Davis/Giannis/gobert team likely could beat the warriors with out too much help on the bench. 3 elite wing defenders and 2 elite post defenders; although 3 point shooting wouldn't be as good as the Warriors by any means so that's something they might get worked on. Not sure if Harden or something would be a great fit defensively but he does shoot 3s well.

kyrie is a top 25 player/asset.

I'm obv casual fan with regards to this thread, and I understand the whole "sort by record before/without lebron", but a) he's 25, b) he averaged 26ppg (which I assume could feasibly be 30ppg without lebron), c) he's uncle drew (which, let's be honest, that shouldn't affect his ranking, but it does)...

y'all sometimes lose touch with non-math/rang arguments bc you're arguing with other math/rang people all the time.

kyrie's national profile is sooo much bigger than a bunch of *actual* top 25 players that, aside from this thread, *smart* front offices and like, the 1% of NBA fans, kyrie is never getting ranked lower than sooo many of the players that routinely are put higher than him here.

personally, I ain't mad. he hit the main shot that I'll always remember as bringing a title to cleveland. the dude could literally have a tv show where he pulled his dick out and pissed on a map of Ohio and I'd still probably hope he crushes wherever he goes. he knows bron and he knows bron's BRAND and he doesn't want to be the cold turkey sandwich the day after thanksgiving...so what? good for him.

if y'all think the NBA has blown up the way it has the last 20 years bc of defense or defending the pick and roll or PER...c'mon. it's bc of unstoppable offensive players, and that's 100% what he is.

top 20/25/30/50...so what?

Kyrie isn't top 20.

Hayward, LeBron, Giannis, George, Wall, Westbrook, Gobert, Paul, Griffin, Steph, Durant, Draymond, Brow, Kawhi, Harden, Conley, TRG are all no brainers over him. Then you have guys like Towns, Jokic, Lowry, Klay, etc who are tougher to compare but all undoubtedly fit better on elite teams.

The hard truth that Kyrie is probably going to learn is that he is better fit as a secondary creator. His size, lack of elite passing for a PG, and horrid defense are all things that will keep him from being an elite player. If he is the best player on your team you probably aren't going to be very good. The Cavs would have close to 0 finals equity (making, not winning) if they replaced LeBron with an avg SF, and that's one of the best teams you could hope to build around Kyrie.

With that being said I would really love for the Knicks to trade Melo+w/e for him. I find him exciting to watch and obv, despite what I just said, think he is a very good player. All of a sudden we'd have another young guy to pair with Staps and TIM HARDAWAY JR and would be ready to go.
07-24-2017 , 02:34 PM
Kyrie is an all time finisher at the rim and fun to watch. If your team is gonna be trashish might as well have a guy thatll cross someone's face off a couple times a night and make wild ass layups.

Simmons is discussing it on his podcast today. KOC saying Kanter > RAnderson in terms of value and contract.
07-24-2017 , 03:27 PM
They just need to make the salaries match. I think the Knacks would trade Kanter+filler just to move on from Melo, but I'm not sure.
07-24-2017 , 03:35 PM
Kanter's contract is shorter than RAndersons so I guess better for Knicks but it's still horrid for them and he has a 15% trade kicker. I'd rather straight up waive Melo (assuming his ETO gets his salary off the books for '18-'19) or play out the string for one more year instead of tying up like 20 million in cap space next summer on Kancer.

Would be an absolute fleecing by presti if he pulls that off. Lol Knacks
