i would consider being tall/long/athletic as gifts, more than skills.

DAJ looks like the same player he was five years ago at A&M. #notagoodlook

"the tools to be a really good defender": brain is a very important tool.

Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett

FOR

#3 pick
Trevor Ariza(expiring contract)
Jan Vesely(team option, could be expiring contract)
Emeka Okafor(expiring contract)

Wall
Beal
Pierce
Garnett
Nene

is quite sexy

If you believe in that whole 'veteran leadership/coaches on the floor' angle then there's not a better match ITL between void and fill than those 2 teaching Beal and, especially, Wall what's up

Would KG want to go play for that Wizards team, though? KG has a no trade clause.

Maybe if he knows he'd be going along with Pierce.

Plus he might be a closet JWall fan.

Javale McGee is alright y'all be hating. Tons of improvement last year over years prior.... I'd say the only thing he really needs now to be worth his contract is to learn how to box the **** out.

was looking through the picks owed, this is pretty lolcats:

Quote:
Chicago
2014 first round draft pick from Charlotte
Charlotte's 1st round pick to Chicago protected for selections 1-10 in 2014 or 1-8 in 2015 or unprotected in 2016 [Charlotte-Chicago, 2/18/2010]
they are no lock to be a good team by 2016, esp if they **** up this draft
06-24-2013 , 01:24 AM
Jordan going to be sitting at the 2016 draft like Jerry West was in 2003, except at least his was protected for the #1 pick.

lolcats.

good things the cats got the great michael kidd gilchrist last year.

not that you're killing him, but i think mkg had a pretty solid rookie year. i mean i watched em play like twice but his stats seem about what you'd expect and he does seem to have the ability to be a vv good defender down the road. key thing is that he's still only 19, younger than pretty much everyone in this draft (lol at this draft obv)

if you look at his shot chart it's lol in that he takes heaps of 20 footers, but he seems to have the ability to get all the way to the rim (not settling for too many floaters etc) and drew a solid amount of fts, and his tovs seem pretty low for his level of experience and playstyle

but yeah those are the only 2 dudes worth anything on their roster (and maybe henderson/sessions). i think they're big dogs to make the playoffs by 2016

Yeah I'd take MKG #1 overall in this draft without a doubt.
06-24-2013 , 04:27 AM
i'd still take nerlens #1 for the convenience of the double tank strat and his sicker upside

my quick top 20 for the last 3 drafts (inc this one without putting much thought into it):
1 BROW
2 kyrie
3 drum
4 kiwi
5 jonas
6 nerlens
7 mkg
8 kanter
9 len
10 rubio
11 lillard
12 vucevic
13 jimmy buckets
14 barnes
15 oladipo
16 klay
17 burke
18 beal
19 porter
20 faried

thoughts? interesting topic iyam
06-24-2013 , 05:27 AM
switch len and faried. drop rubio.
06-24-2013 , 05:38 AM
Harrison Barnes is kinda low
06-24-2013 , 05:58 AM
yeah i'd put barnes higher, klay higher as initial revisions. def disagree on faried>len. i'm high on len but i think it's pretty reasonable to have him > faried given that faried is almost 24 and defensively challenged. jimmy should be lower too, for some reason i thought he was like 21 but he's also almost 24
06-24-2013 , 06:18 AM
Every time TZ starts talking up Barnes like he had a great year I check his stats, and every time I do that he's stubbornly sitting there having had a worse rookie season than Beal.

I'd put Vuc a lot higher. Higher than Kanter or Jonas, at least.

Rubio was 5 drafts ago.
06-24-2013 , 06:42 AM
parsons could make a good case to be on that list.

lil Zeke and TT and Meyers Leonard and Tobias Harris, too.

the case for why barnes > his stats has been gone over a bunch of times, the list would obv look a lot diff if we were just going by the numbers. i quite like beal actually, started off megaaids and finished well

yeah forgot about rubio's situation, take him off. parsons would probably be the next guy after faried i think, but i'm not super high on him though compared to the rest of these guys cos a) he's almost 25 b) prob has inflated stats

i think i'd take bennett from this draft over isaiah, meyers, tt and kobias. shump prob belong in that grouping too. those dudes are just not in the class of guys who make the list imo

quite strongly disagree on vuc > jonas. i view jonas as a top top prospect with very good potential on off and d, he really came on towards the end of the yr, good sign imo. could be wrong but don't think i am. i could be wrong on vuc though, can't say i wasted much time watching orlando and i do like him as a prospect, maybe he's more elite than i thought. i could see him over kanter

brook lopez had the screw in his foot replaced, after they found out it was bent during the playoffs.

this dude and that foot... starting to remind you of anyone?
