I mean actual poors I feel for, but if it's a mere principal thing, then I lol at you, because it comes out to like $1/day, and pretty much all non poors have larger leaks in their financial life that don't bring half as much pleasure.

Sometimes some of us are poors, it happens. At that point $200 sounds like a good chunk, and if you're at that point you aren't rationalizing it as an average daily expense over the course of a season.

Not sure if you've given your analysis ITT but how do you think the Pistons do this year? Jackson seems like he will be out first 15-20 games, seems like a big loss to start the season.

Losing Reggie is definitely tough, but I think they can manage. I'm hopeful that they run the offense inside-out and find some offense through some scheming. Freeing up Tobias and Morris through more off-ball screens would be a nice start. It would be nice to have that option when Reggie comes back.

I imagine they'll play a bit faster with Ish which will mitigate some of the half court issues. Ish can replicate some of what Reggie does in terms of penetration, but I imagine consistency will be an issue, from game to game.

Defensively, they should be fine just by having a legit good wing defender and Drummond's size and rebounding. If Drummond can put it together a bit, the defense could be great.

I think they should be a playoff team, could have been 4-5 with Reggie for the entire year. Probably 6-8 with him missing significant time.

Can't you guys sell your organs or something?

I've never been that hard up, but I've been laid off, and you're miserable and broke, and my concern was more how to cover my next car payment. Even though I've NBA'ed all my life paying for a service to watch every game doesn't enter the equation. This is a dangerous derail though.

Yup, won't be getting league pass. Still a poor grad student. Could swing ballstreams, but not $200 at once.

Can afford league pass but just don't retain enough interest year round to justify $200. It is nice to sweat the o/u's though I'd just much rather split it if possible. Also saving for wedding and house but if it were English premier League pass I'd pay $500 no prob. Still try to split it though because why not?

I do wonder how they can cope with not having the durability they had last year. This is a team that got more minutes/games from their starting 5 than any team in the league last year. Just had perfect health all year. Now already Jackson is down for the first 20-25% of the season.

Besides the top 3 and bottom 2, everyone in the East seems to be very bunched together in terms of preseason ranking right now. All projected in that 37-44 range. Definitely think a few of the teams ahead of them in the East are going to regress (Cha, Mia, ATL) but then a few others should be better.

If I make over 1million over the next 11 months I pledge to give the top 20 TZ posters free league pass next year.

Anyone else want to join my pledge?

$200 for a season's worth of entertainment is really not a bad deal, even if you lose interest after a month or two you still get to watch the playoffs later on.
And I'm not sure you guys have that option but league pass international has a monthly subscription
