Words cannot express the idiocy of both the Knacks and the Lolkers management right now.

You can't blame the scrub players - they are fighting to stay in their life changing jobs - which they are in real danger of falling out of. So if you don't tell them "Miss erry ft or we sack you" they'll try to hit them.

Pretty similar for the coaches - ... but they have to be people that the GMs can direct to "do the necessary". It's easy, easy, easy to make line ups that can't win - have 5 front court players and no pg and see how that runs - for the last 8 mins. So the coaches will coach to win unless instructed otherwise = transparently it would reflect badly on them otherwise in the long run/attempts to get future employment.

So it's really all down to the GMs. I don't see how Phil/Magic can just sit there insousiantly with some kind of stupid 'poker face' when the franchise is losing significant EV.

Knicks equity of a top 3 pick goes from ~21% to ~18% and of the #1 pick from ~6.4% to ~5.3% with that single result. [and also falls from 6 to tie for 6 and rand if neither Knicks nor Wolves jump up in the lottery.]

[edit] Obviously we'ld all lolOrlando as well if Orlando had fans

first time that happened I had nfi what was really going on in the game and was playing a "friendly" online micro-stakes game with people I knew online.

still felt like a punch to the nuts

Anyone else notice that commentators seem to really like Evan Turner for some reason? I got Doris gushing about him like she's a fan here.

I'm pretty sure HipsterFan ironically roots for POR's bench much more than the regular rotation guys.

Two POR possessions in the last minute of the game were a perfect end to Meyers Leonard's season. First they go to him in the post after a switch with a mismatch and the crowd really starts cheering when he gets it. He does this unbelievably slow back down, only doesn't back down very far and bricks a long, crappy hook off the front rim. Next they go to him AGAIN in the post down one with 20s left. The crowd is lit again, for him! He goes to the super slow back down dribble and chunks it off his leg for the turnover. Then people started booing. It was like a Make a Wish kid out there except for that very last part.

Do you think all playoff games are worth going to? Thinking of Blazers game 4 primarily to see the GS all stars. I'm having the price per ticket compared to level of enjoyment conversation in my head.

I think it'll be worth it. I think that the games in Portland are likely to be at least competitive anyway and a great atmosphere. I remember the Blazers winning a game down 3-0 in the series at home maybe a couple years ago in a series they had no chance in. Plus if they are down 3-0, tix will likely be cheaper.

Magic mercifully finally fire Rob Hennigan

I guess missing the playoffs with the 8th highest payroll is finally unacceptable
