They're a good deal worse in FT/FGA. Maybe zeke is a factor here, but his own fouls have not gone up much. So that's hard to explain. It would mean secondary effects to him getting burnt and Olynyk having to foul a slashing guard. But that would generally mean a big uptick in eFG% against.

Their rebounding has completely tanked. They weren't great last year, but they're basically dead last now. Welcome to Boston, AL Horford.

And they don't turn the ball over like they used to. I have not paid close enough attention to determine whether this is a stylistic change or merely a factor of Avery missing a bunch of games.

Kahwi deserves better. This team is so bad. Best guard on the team is 40 year old manu and hes beyond awful.

Did Redick get hurt or something tonight? Doc closed tonight with him on the bench and Felton/Crawford on the floor with Paul. It wasn't too close so it didn't matter but Doc does this **** way too much. It's shocking to me that someone at that level has no clue how to evaluate his own players.

What's amazing too is that it's horrendous from a pure player value standpoint, but when you throw in contextual things- like they're sharing the court with CP3 & Crawford/Felton are both sub-avg perimeter shooters who thrive with the ball in their hands and worse defenders while Redick is one of the 5 best shooters in the NBA and the best defender of the 3- it becomes almost shocking to see this **** every night.

Thoughts for a possible playoff series:

The Rockets missed 100 open threes, and the Spurs are supposed to be good at defending three pointers! They cannot be counted on missing threes forever.

Also, Dedmon was pretty bad tonight, and Spurs will absolutely need him to play good in a playoff series. Gasol and Lee are a lost cause on D.

Last thought: there is not a more satisfying thing in basketball than watching Harden and his stupid beard get owned (it is possible he got fouled by Lee, though).

Agree that Tony is terrible. Not that good on offense anymore (what is he very good at nowadays?) and awful on defense. Spurs aren't going anywhere with him as the point guard.

Yeah, Parker's defence is abysmal but the offence really, really struggles without him. He's the second most important guy on the offence.
