NBA Dynasty Draft 2016: Beginning NOW - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

Thread purely for getting entries for the draft and setting rules.

I'd say no more than 30 drafters, 8 man teams, 5 year dynasty rules, ABBBA order. Very similar to last year

Entries with most amount of NBA posts or years posting and history of good drafting obviously get preferential treatment

i think we should probably keep it to starting 5, too much interest is lost after that

(but whatever, i don't really care that much. maybe have it be starting 5 if we get 30 and have it be 8 if we get <25)

just looking at last year, i think every one of my players will be drafted higher this year; my team is kinda weird but pretty good (kemba in the 7th!)

I'm ok with only 5. Think 8 gives flexibility to do different things with lineups but agree interest historically wanes in late rounds. Anyone else feel strongly either way about this?

If people lose interest & don't round out their team, they lose, and are a loser, and shouldn't participate in drafts. They should go back to Loserville and go lose some more on their own free loser time.

Maybe 6? Might be reasonable to take a backup G at a place you feel like you're weak or something

No reason to cap rounds. If you shoot for 8 and get 6 then so be it.

a reason to cap rounds would be so as the interest dies off we spend that last week or two judging/doing a tournament or something instead of "where is X poster? he's got his rounds 7 and 8 to do! let's just do a free for all!"

If we go 6 then we should go 7. It'd be weird for one team to have a backup big and another have a second pg. Then it becomes just take best value player instead of construct a rotation.

Makes judging harder and even more subjective.
