Would you do the following hypothetical move as the Lakers?

Quote:
Trade D’Angelo to the Kings for Cauley-Stein and the #5 pick, allowing you to select Jackson at #2 and Fox at #5.
The Lakers roster becomes

Fox/Jackson/Ingram/Randle/Cauley-Stein

Obviously shooting would be a major concern, but the trade gives them long, athletic wing players, a defensive-minded backcourt, and a rim protecting big.

They’d probably still suck as hard as last year, but at least they’d improve their major team weakness (defense).

I know a question should never start with "Why would the kings ..." but why would the kings give up that for DAR?

WCS looks like a fine player that could turn out pretty good and DAR hasn't been super impressive so far. Could turn out good, although it seems like he'll never be athletic enough to fix his defense so not even sure DAR>WCS going forward

Because it would give Vivek Ranadive two Steph Currys in their backcourt.

The deadpan made it better, I solidly cracked up for like 20 seconds. I can't remember the last time I did that outside of a sketch comedy show.

@DB21, I am now pretty gay for Jonah Bolden and will be disappointed if Denver doesn't draft him--seems like he has the most upside outside of the top 12 or so, and with the draft being pretty weak in that spot I'd have no problem with Denver reaching with their #13 pick for him.

6'10", 7'3 wingspan, shoots great, decent STOCKS, what's not to love?

While all the NCAA fraud prospects are showing their dribbling skills and how they can beat invisible opponents, FRANK is currently killing it in game 2 of french league finals 9 points on 4/6 shooting at half, being the 2nd best player of the game in his vet team

Maybe you can find some streams online if you type "pro A Chalon Strasbourg" the 2nd half will start soon

Strasbourg rented a private jet to send him to the draft after game 4 and bring him back for game 5 of the finals(bo5)

He still hasn't been mocked in the 1st round anywhere I can find. Footage on him seems limited and his team didn't do very well with him. I like him too, but was hesitant I was missing something and thought he might be too much of a reach @ #23

Nine whole points at the half in LOL France, eh? Should make him #1 overall and make his team play 4 on 5 for competitive balance.

Still can't make FT's and he's a year removed from a 12.4 PER sophomore year at UCLA. Really don't see how he's more than just a run of the mill 2nd round flier.

French league really isn't that much better than NCAA, and Frank would have been fairly trash in NCAA. Like if he swaps spots with Fultz, Washington is the WOAT major conference team.

ntilikina looks pretty unexplosive offensively, he seems quite bad at getting to the rim and finishing. george hill comps seem ok as a general mould. hill is a good finisher even if he's not that good at getting to the rim, otoh frank is v young so maybe he gets better at it. hill also at least got fouled in college a bit whereas frank never draws anything which is another bad sign for explosiveness

i guess you could explain some of it away due to role/age etc. i assume french pro league is a lot better than whatever the comp was for ghill in college, i've never heard of the school he went to (IUIPI)

Kevin O'Connor and Jonathan Tjarks have been gushing about him quite a bit lately, think both put him at 16 in their updated mocks. He's a bit older than most but I think given his tools and the way he expanded his game after leaving UCLA leaves him in a pretty good spot for someone to take a shot in the late teens to early first.

Denver would be a pretty good fit given how well they pass and there wouldn't be much pressure up front to be anything more than a bit part player. I think a bunch of those teams in that range would be a good fit, Denver, Portland, Chicago, Indiana, OKC could all take a shot on him I think.

I've heard rumours that the ball they use is slightly large in Serbia and free throw percentages for players in that league tend to go up a lot when they switch the NBA

If you only care about the upside and don't care about the possible/likely downside surely Giles is your man?

I heard Bolden wasn't very good until late in the year when the team got a decent coach that could speak English and then he took off, always shot well, but started making more assists and cut down on the turnovers
