Kangz were actually pretty big winners tonight. going from 8 to 5 is pretty great for a team with their needs and they have another top 10 pick in a 10 person draft.

Not till the 2nd round; kinda got ****ed this year by Lakers staying in the top 3.

But next year unprotected Lakers 1st pick in 2018 and Sacto 2019 are unprotected. Both should still suck next year and 2 years from now.

when it was the final 2 and the Lakers were confirmed #2 why did Magic fist pump?

Did he think there was some other option out there where they get no pick?

This probably spells the end of the D'Angeslow era in LA. SAD.

I love Davis, but guy is always hurt and can't get anything going with the Pelicans.

I would think the team owners would be more likely to insist on it than ESPN, who get a predetermined length show and predictable commercials, and can sell the spot before the top 3 which is $$$.

Why would they not want the NBA to rig it even if they were, anyways?

People would still complain about the lottery being rigged, just like they did when the Knicks won the first lottery in 1985.

There's is no result which wouldn't get an "LOL rigged" response.

Actually if they had a normal ****ing draft and didn't actively rig it each year we would be fine with it

So lame that the Lakers manage to avoid losing a top 3 protected pick 3 years in a row. My god. Also not happy about the wolves slippin

Kind of amazing to look at the dudes standing up there for the top 3 picks. Philly's up there because they control Sacramento's pick, Boston's up there because they control Brooklyn's pick, and the Lakers are up there because they got lucky and didn't lose their pick. lol bad teams i guess.

I enjoy a good rig job every now and then.

I predict that the Knicks will draft Malik Monk and he will be quite underwhelming as a pro.

Lakers keeping their pick this lottery was a stone cold lock as soon as Magic became President of basketball operations.

Orlando is the biggest loser by far. Fall a pick and miss out on what would have been an awesome Lakers pick in 2019.

I take the last point and Dar0's Lakers-Celts riggage point.

But if you're going to run a rand either you do it in public or you don't. If you don't then all the crap about ping-pong balls is just that - you can rand it (or not) however you like.

ESPN could get more ad revenue by building 3 lotto-machines onstage and running them one by one with ads between each run.
