I would enjoy seeing him play with Porzingis, and it would probably be good to be 3k miles away from his father.
Lakers, Suns, Knicks would make the most sense to me out of the bottom 6 teams. Lonzo/Booker would be a pretty sick back court that really compliment each other well, think the Sixers would prefer Fultz.

Why would the Sixers prefer Fultz? IMO the Sixers prefer the guy more capable off the ball to allow Simmons to do his point-forward thing some.

Sixers are pretty desperate for a guard/wing with a high scoring ceiling. They have a bunch of guys that can play off ball, shoot 3s, defend and play in Brett's motion system but it's been a big problem that late in games when good teams tighten up their defense that they've completely stagnated and turned it over a bunch.

I mean, it's the sixers and any elite guard talent would welcome but I think with Simmons/Lonzo you have two really unselfish/creative with a lot of overlapping skill sets that would work together but neither one is likely to be a 26ppg+ kind of guy, think the Sixers need someone who would be a bit of a selfish offensive guy like Fultz who can put up big scoring numbers.

They prob won't have the option to get him so it's a moot point anyway but I really like

Embiid
Simmons
RoCo
TLC
Fultz

As an opening day line up that's really balanced as far as role players/stars go with complimenting skill sets and usage balance to get the most out of it.

Fultz seems better off-ball because he's more of a scorer to take advantage of opportunities created by Simmons compared to Lonzo more of a distributor.

I think Fox is much more Elfrid Payton than he is John Wall

Obv a dog to be John Wall

Wall is really great

I can't find Elfrid's college finishing stats, but he's actually been decent at the rim this year. I'd expect there to be more of a learning curve for him coming from ULL than there will be for Fox, who was an above-average finisher in college at Kentucky (but nothing special). They're similar in terms of athleticism and length.

Cant really compare their college stats because Fox is a freshmen. Payton played 3 years of college ball so he was a finished product.

Looks like the pistons are most likely going to be 12 in the draft. Was hoping to hit that 11 spot and having a chance at Bridges or maybe Smith/Ntilikina if they fell. I guess somebody could shoot up the draft board late or something not sure who that would be.

Updated yesterday d.express mock has the pistons taking J.Allen who i dont want. Then the next picks are Z.Collins,J.Jackson,T.Ferguson. I think Ferguson is the most interesting one of those guys to me currently but i dont even know how hes been doing in Australia i heard bad things but havent watched him. I seen him in the highschool all star games and he looked like he had some solid 3andD potential.

I guess alot can change from now till then. I remember last season Chriss shot up the board out of nowhere. Wonder who this seasons riser could be.

Also must suck to be Ivan Rabb. He would of been a lotto pick last season now hes looking at 20th in the first round.

Rabb and Grayson made some bad decisions coming back. Neither is going to come close to where they wouldve went in last years draft.

Fox will be 10 months younger than Elfrid Payton was as a rookie

Zach Collins is a very intriguing player type. Not sure who his comp would be.

Elite rim protection + very good shooter and post player. Ibaka w/better hands and comfort in the post?

Didnt realize Fox was that old. Still 2 extra seasons is alot of development time regardless of age.

Hmm if he can fit next to Drummond at the 4 and can spread the floor that sounds like a nice fit. I only seen him in this tourney run and thought he might be overrated from it but he looked solid from what i seen. If hes anything like Ibaka light that would be something to get excited about.

Anyone watching enough Spanish or Eurocup basketball to have an opinion on Anzejs Pasecniks?

Sounds like Bridges is going to stay in school. Sucks for pistons picking 12th when he was going to be one of the best prospects in that range. R.Williams also is coming back which weakens the late lotto-mid first.

Z.Collins declared already. Now draftexpress moved him up to 10 in the new mock. They have Ntilikina going down to 11 to the hornets which doesnt make much sense since they have Kemba unless they just go best player available. Would love a chance at him at 12.

I doubt Ntilikina makes it to 12th. I imagine someone in the 7th-10th range bets on the mystery box that he is.

I could def. see the Knicks taking him if he's available at 7th.

The one thing that could have him falling is the fact theirs so many good pg prospects. It would take some later risers to blow up. Not likely but I can hope!

7-10 range there's 2 Kings picks, New York, Dallas

No way he fall after that, meaning the guy is a huge underdog at playing in a decent NBA team in his first 4 years

Has Grayson declared for the draft this year? I know Kennard has, but I haven't seen anything official from Allen yet.

mkay - I've been watching Baskonia against Gran Canaria out of curiosity -end of 3rd quarter right now. He looks more Hermangomez-like than Porzingis-like.

Tbf, the guy has 9 points on 3-3, 3/4ft in 14 mins and the game is a 3-pt fest.

He's picking up fouls like crazy when the guards do actually drive at GC's perimeter defence seems to have been taking lessons from Me/lo/se, but it's hard to judge how hard he'd find it to hold position in the paint as there's literally nothing happening there.

yw.

But this is true for everyone picked in the first 10-12 every year, traded picks - as in the Nets->Celtics - apart.

[Meh - maybe you could make an argument that Embiid and Simmons are going to play 300 games each in the next 4 seasons, and so when the 76ers bink the #2 in the lottery and pick #2 and #4 maybe they instantly have a winning team. But this is pretty exceptional.]

Anyway, tomorrow I devote a few minutes to Strasbourg-Cholet so as to give a scalding hot take on Frank

Is it me, or does this draft seem pretty sucky after the first ten or so picks? I know it's supposed to be great at the top and I sort of agree, but overall I'm not feeling this as much as it was originally hyped.
