Something else that I think distorts Marvin William's true value in your table is the ORTG. Yeah his was 119, but his team was loaded and scored 88 points/game. I can't find UNC's team ORTG that year, but I doubt it was much lower than that.

Something that distorts Andrew Wiggins stats is that he's horrible in the half-court.

Nobody's stats perfectly state their value. But I would say of everybody's stats that I posted in the table that Wiggins is likely the most fraudulent.

the angles that were underrated wrt drum

1) uconn led the nation in opponent rim FG%
2) he took a ton of shots away from the rim (107 of his 292 total FGA) with a 25% eFG. in the pros he has embraced his role as a finisher and 476 of his 488 FGA's this year have been at the rim.

if drum just limited his non-rim attempts like he does in the pros he would have had a ~ 69% FG instead of 54% and i bet 2p2 (including myself- i slept on drum big time) would have been wayyy higher on him

wiggins doesn't make that level of defensive impact, and he doesn't have any fat that he can trim from his offensive game to instantly make him better.

Here's a kinda homery question, but does Marcus Paige warrant any discussion? Haven't seen his name thrown around but he's been really solid this season, and definitely surpassed expectations. Some #s: ~.6 TS, 20 PER, 122 Ortg, .39% 3 pt, 90% FT, 2:1 A/TO.

Obviously he's hampered by lack of athleticism and meh physical tools. Defense could be a real issue, since he's a bit undersized with average lateral quicks at best. But he compensates fairly well with high iq, effort, and sneakiness, and is surprisingly adept at rim finishing via Tony Parkeresque circus shots. Idk, just curious if he sniffs the second round.

He sniffs the 2nd round. But it's hard to get too excited when neither his stats nor his tools stand out.

if lottery process changes it'd be like 5+years after they find a suitable change. probably more like 10 years or something.
