Yeah, I'm fine with whatever you guys want. I'm just here for the funsies.
Thanks for picking for me Dodger, I appreciate that.
I think Boogie/Dame is going to be a great pairing. Dame has already proved he can handle being around a ball dominant big, and plan on trying to get role players that complement this great duo. I will try to mimic the 2014ish Trailblazer model but with better role players.
He's already really really good at shooting (adding 3s to his repertoire this year), and protecting the rim. He's very adept at pick and roll/pop as well. Guy shoots 80% from the FT line, and is athletic enough to defend the perimeter on PnR switches.
He's not the best rebounder, but it's likely due to his predilection for protecting the rim, which is a scarcer resource. In anticipation of the criticism that his age curve doesn't align with Paul: so what. He's already a top 10 C, and figures to take a big leap forward from year 2 to 3 (as most young bigs do). Also, I think he fits well w/Paul on the floor given Paul's mastery of the PnR.
ive rethought my CP3 statement. he's likely to get a super max this summer, and I think people will view that more favorably than Blake's regular max. i did like lillard and cousins more, but boogie has his warts. as noted, embiid could be anything so there's a wide range of decent spots to take him.
I'm going to take Isaiah Thomas to go with Paul George. It allows George to fully play his role as a defensive stopper and gives me two pretty legit scoring options. There are some unideal things about Thomas- mainly age and size but I didn't really want a young team with George anyway
I said it in the PM but I don't wanna just take over for AJ so I'd at least give him a little time. Although I find it hard to believe there's a better pick than mine
fwiw, whilst I don't have any certain information, I would not be amazed if Guivre is in Euroland - and looking at the timings in his posting history I'd bet against him posting before daylight there.
