Well one year in tennis is a lot different than one year in most other sports. He's played most of the same players all year and dominated them. If you want it to last two years, that's understandable, but it's not like a guy has to dominate for 5 years in tennis before it means something. He's already played 60+ matches and as others have mentioned, it's not like he was a slouch in past years.
Even in tennis. You have to be able to play big with a target on your back, and it's hard to have a target after just one year. I mean, Nadal is the defending champion in this tournament. If Djokovich wins 3+ slams next year he's approaching GOAT status tho

if he had any competition during his early years he prob wud have 5 majors, dude cant win close matches. he's won 2 grand slam finals that were close- 1 vs roddick on his best surface and the other vs a 20 yo nadal on grass as well
