Sadly, Nadal is not about to lose to Andrew Murray.

I thought this was the year Murray would break through, but it's the same old same old. I will now go back to hating Murray and wishing all the bad things in the world happen to him.

Djoker having a GOAT type season and an incredible peak. GOAT career, no.

Peak is all that matters in these discussion.

The worst "greatest" is stupid. Better to be the BOAT than the GOAT.

Labron is at least #2 in BOAT but still a loser. Still has a chance to redeem himself in the GOAT running.

Rangs and titles is what matters and Djoker doesn't even have half of Nadals titles or 1/3 of Federers.

Let's not crown Novak before he wins the US Open. Nadal hasn't missed a shot all match vs Murray and might very well GOAT on him this Monday.

I'm cool with declaring whoever wins on Monday as the BOAT.

I equate Federer to like Emmitt Smith, while I think Djokovic is Barry Sanders. Nadal is somewhere in middle, maybe Jim Brown.

This is Djokers best surface and Rafas worst. If Nadal wins Monday its a wrap.

I honestly don't think that anyone can deny that Roger is the reason today's level of tennis is so high. I think that everyone had to raise their level of play just to compete with him at such a high level... however, I am sad at his "fall from glory" but honestly, the poor guy is almost 30! It had to happen sometime. I will forever be thankful for what he has done for tennis and the sporting world in general.

Even though Fed may not look it, I sense that he gets just as nervous as anyone else in big moments, even yet!

I love Jimmy Fallon's Roger Federer impression... I dunno if anyone else has seen it? Last night's was hilarious.

lol yeah, if Novak completes a 6-0 record in finals vs Nadal, it'd be sick as ****, he starts working his way into it(but his upperbound is around #4 or so), and likely ends Nadal's shot at overtaking Fed

As a Barry Sanders fan I don't like Djoko equated to Sanders. Sanders was the best for ten years. Djoko has been the best this year and not even second any previous year.
Even if we only consider their peak, I think Fed at his peak would beat current Djoko.
Unless Djoko continues with his greatness, the correct analogy would be Gale Sayers instead of B. Sanders.

Yeah comparing BSanders to Novak is hilariously inane.

Gale Sayers is a better (still pretty terrible) comparison to Djok

edit: lol, see above

The best comparison for Novak would be Maurice Claret.

Well tennis players don't usually dominate as long as football players do, so your objection is overruled. Sayers works too though.

The only place the comparison fails, is that Novak is better at tennis than anyone has ever been in football.

Oh nevermind, you just lost all credibility and there is no point in ever responding to one of your posts. Carry on.

Novak gettin em mad.

wow way to insult Novak. Clarrett was a complete train wreck that amounted to nothing in the NFL. A better but not completely accurate comparison would be Chris Johnson.

Both have had one year of dominance.

But yeah Djokovich's over Nadal/Fed; Mo's over the BigTen. Not exactly level playing fields.

Let me guess, the guy who beats Djokovich in a GS Final in 2 years will be your new BOAT/GOAT?

No it wouldn't. One full year of dominance is MUCH different than having one elite NFL season. He's playing against the same players in every tournament. There's much less variance in tennis domination (though there is obviously still some).

Well, considering this is toughest era of tennis of all-time, Nadal and Murray are in their primes and Federer isn't that far removed, whoever is dominating now is pretty ****ing important.
