Posting half asleep will writeup mine much later but go listen to Glenn Gould rock the piano dude was incredible. Oh and Bernstien did music to West Side Story and wrote symphonies, operas, concertos, you name it along with being the greatest conductor and educator of his era

If I drafted Diddy (and I tried to talk TSC into going along with this to no avail), I would have just said, drafting Diddy means I can retire to a Caribbean island and count my money while Diddy runs the entire label. Without ever recording a song, he's really valuable in this. Throw in that he can make a hit song once in a while (even if it sucks), and he's a monster and should have been drafted higher by one of the rap labels.

I'm not sure how Ray Charles would have felt about walking to Brooklyn to get him cheesecake though.

It's not really business acumen as much as overall boss status. If he's in charge, he's most likely going to make everyone better. He has value as a producer even if he does nothing but sit there and tell people what to do/fix.

He's probably a better overall pick than Phil Specter given where they both went and that Diddy can actually perform too.
