Barry Sanders was a lot of fun to watch. I loved the way he would break guys ankles. Allen Iverson could do it too.

Some of it depends on your opponents, circumstances doesn't it?

During Jordan's run the other teams just weren't as good as the Bulls because of expansion+Bulls being pretty stacked to go along with having MJ. Yeah he was incredible but not many playoff series where it felt like the other team had any equity. Like even the final Jazz game, Malone choking at the end wasn't too shocking.

Whereas Ali had some legendary fights with guys on his level. Some of the best fights of all time with Frazier and Foreman. And then tons of other close decision entertaining fights.

The home run totals aren't even that massively exciting.

Now, the distance is another thing. Regular 500ft in-game shots when few were getting over 400. That would have been cool to see.

Most entertaining athlete I saw on a regular basis, in person, was Rickey Henderson...

Whether at bat, on the bases or doing his "snatch catch", he was always a blast to watch.

His interviews weren't too shabby either.
