lol wtf your talking about.
It is only about money, nothing else.
He could beat anyone in that division in any good given day.
everyone just runs from him now.

UFC has lost the control on making fights now.
Everyone declines fight, like in boxing...

Good for him and bellator.
UFC, by being too greedy with his fighters, gives bullet to other organization for bringing them down, bit by bit.

If they continue that route and dont put their $h!t together, soon other organizations like bellator will have freakn AK47 in their hands, thx to UFC !

****, that bums me out.

I care about Moose moving on way more than Bendo or Rory. He could've beaten Whittaker!

Re: The MMA Thread

The Reebok deal was a **** deal even when they had everyone on pre Reebok contracts. Now that the contracts are coming up they're losing most of the best guys because they have to pay double to triple to match the sponsorship money. They have to let guys like Gsp sit on the shelf. The bigger Bellator grows the more sponsorship money they will have to match.

I gusss it made a little sense as a short term deal when you're planning on selling.

Yeah I like him in that fight. I also think Rory couldve made his way to the ufc belt. He did beat woodley already and I like him against nearly all of the top guys

Chechnyan president Ramzan Kadyrov challenges UFC to death matches

CHECHNYAN president Ramzan Kadyrov has made a chilling offer to the UFC — your fighters against mine in a battle to the death.
The controversial leader, who took control of the Russian republic in 2007 after his father was assassinated three years earlier, controls an army of 20,000-30,000 federal troops and dominates through an unforgiving brand of vigilante justice.
He’s also a huge sports fan who enjoys football and combat sports. Kadyrov has created his own MMA fight league named after his father, Akhmat MMA, which he believes houses the toughest fighters in the world.
In a rare interview with HBO, he revealed his plans to prove it. Akhmat v the UFC. No judges. No stoppages.
“Sooner or later, I think we will prove we have the best fighters,” Kadyrov told the Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel program.
“We propose that UFC and Akhmat face off in a tournament ... And we’ll see who has the strongest fighters. I think it would be quite a spectacle. They would fight to the end. A fight to the death.”
Kadyrov believes growing up in war-torn cities has prepared his fighters to make the ultimate sacrifice — a sacrifice he dreams of making on the battlefield one day.
“I’ve been fighting since I was 15,” Kadyrov told HBO. “I know what war is. I’m an excellent soldier and a good strategist. I love to fight. I was born and raised in war. To die in battle would be my greatest joy.”

The MMA Thread

Throughout the night they are drinking gin and juice and Snoop is blazing. In the real feed we never cut to them full screen except for an introduction.

Surprised Weidman is a full +150 vs Gastelum.

How times have changed. One year ago Weidman is -300.

Maybe Luke was right and fighting a bunch of washed up Brazillians isn't the best measure of skill.

Re: The MMA Thread

Weidman had some massive nerve damage in his neck. It caused muscle atrify and significant loss of strength in his arm. The surgery was a year ago and it takes significant time for that strength to return if ever. You add to that some brutal knockouts and it takes a toll.

fwiw he was beating Luke for most of the fight pre surgery.

He strikes me as a religious zeolite lunatic, or he's just been doing it for the paychecks.

He had a meteoric rise and fall to undefeated champion to a three fight losing streak.

I do think he's going to come back and look really good in the next year, barring injury setbacks, and his meathead mentality doesn't get in his way.

Re: The MMA Thread

He could probably heal a lot faster if he would get the stem cell therapy Bas Ruten has been getting for a similar injury but he's probably just going to pray about it.

Was beating luke (who imo is the #1 MW in the world) until the end of rd.3.

Was 2-0 against #3 ranked romero going into the third

Won the first against moose (who is top 5).

Questioning if he was just overrated is ridiculous. He has some cardio issues to fix, besides that he is more than talented enough to beat every guy in the top 5.

Also worth noting he has never been KO'd, all 3 were TKO's. So unlike most fighters that go into skids like this, his chin shouldn't be a major concern yet.

Re: The MMA Thread

He's never been KO'd which is really helpful for when Herb Dean has decided he's going to Ser a man die tonight and you don't want to get in his way.
