The doctor who claims it was right in front of him and saw he got hit in the arm pit you can see him in the background he's the guy with the red shirt who clearly has a terrible angle and is actually positioned in the back of Tavares so his view is blocked. I hope that doctor and Tito and his coaches feel like absolute ******s and apologized to Tavares. Seth knows he kicked him in the face, why wouldn't Tito wait until he asked his fighter if he kicked him in the face before saying Tavares was faking.

Bacynzski controlled most of the first round, scored a takedown threatened with submissions, and Tavares finally got free with about 90 seconds left in the round and landed some good ground and pound. With about 5 seconds left in the round both fighters finally got back to their feet and Tavares tried to land a flurry and ended it with a knee that missed and caused him to lose his balance when that happened Bacynzski landed with a kick and put Tavares out. As soon as he did it you could tell Bacynzski knew he F'd up, he got all wide eyed and immediately apologized and you could tell he felt terrible. The crazy thing is he says I'm sorry and Tavares said "for what?" He clearly went out and had no recollection of the kick.

After that some ****** doctor tells Tito that the kick landed in Tavares' armpit, and despite how apologetic Bacynzski was and Herb Dean having a perfect angle Tito and his team acts as if the doctor is 100% right and Herb Dean, Tavares and even his own fighter are making things up. Tito did nothing this whole season to make me dislike him but this was such a dick move I can see why he's so hated, aside from the fact that he's only ever loss because he was hurt.

Well Tito is the type to say he's 100% going into the fight, lose the fight then after fight talk about how he fought with a fracture skull, a bad neck and back back. Not in the sense that he got hurt during the fight, according to him he's never lost a fight when 100% healthy.

Ya, this is the lamest excuse in MMA and I basically always interpret it to mean, "I am a huge cry baby pussy".

Tito is one of the worst in MMA history for this.

It was hilarious to see the crowd boo him for crying wolf a few too many times during the post-fight of tito/forrest 2.

Saul (fat **** guy) came on the UG forums after the episode aired and issued an apology for his accusations (he said he cleared the air with Tavares privately). Saul's always been known as a stand up guy.

So, interesting analysis that I ripped from the UG. Feel free to comment. This seems to indicate Rampage has a great shot at winning.

Rampage has never really lost to an American wrestle-boxer. He has seven losses.

Loss #1: A unanimous decision of Marvin Eastman in his 3rd pro fight. While yes, technically, Marvin has some collegiate wrestling, he's more brawler and boxer than wrestler. Regardless, I will chalk this up to bad judging, and a very green 21-year old Rampage. He later avenged the loss with a KO... This is the only debatable one.

Loss #2: Getting choked out by Sakuraba. Sub-wrestler, not a collegiate wrestle-boxer.
Loss #3: Daijiro Matsui - Illegal knee to the balls - a DQ loss
Loss #4: Wanderlei - Muay Thai, not wrestling
Loss #5: Wanderlei again...
Loss #6: Shogun - More Muay Thai...
Loss #7: Forest Griffin - again not a wrestler.

---

Of the stand-out wrestlers and wrestle-boxers that Rampage HAS fought...he has beaten them all.

1) Kevin Randleman - Knocked Out
2) Chuck Liddell - TKO'd
3) Matt Lindland - Unanimous Decision
4) Chuck Liddell - TKO'd once more
5) Dan Henderson - Unanimous Decision

Rampage is a wrestle-boxer and he seems to be the king of the wrestle-boxers. He's got a great track record against them, and Rashad is exactly a wrestle-boxer. Interesting stuff.

That's cool of Saul to have done that, I really hope Tito did the same. Accusing a fighter of faking an injury is about the worst thing you can accuse a fighter of, it's essentially calling somebody who beats people up for a living a coward.

Rampage tracks record shows exactly why I don't think Rashad has a very good chance of beating him. I said it in a post about a week ago how Rampage has beaten everybody he's fought that has Rashad's style, Randleman had far better wrestling than Rashad has and he couldn't take Rampage down, and nobody lands clean punches on Rampage his defense is too good. Rashad is going to have develop some great muay thai or do his best Jose Aldo impression if he wants to get this win.

I think the same way. i posted earlier about how it's really only legs that have ever beaten him standing. Shogun and Wandy utilized knees to brutalize him, and Forrest won largely because he chopped him down with some hard-ass leg kicks (which limited his movement for the rest of the fight). Rashad's best gameplan is to try to replicate the Forrest fight and leg-kick over and over the first few rounds.

Yeah, if I was Tavares I would have went over there and told Tito to stfu and watch the video right then and there.

Too bad too, it was a good fight. Can't wait for the next episode...

Spoiler:
I think this time Yager does something illegal and puts the other guy in the ambulance

Simple solution: Don't throw clearly illegal strikes and you don't have to be concerned whether or not it hits or misses and your opponent is faking

BCC: TUF cast, Paul Daley, Rumble Johnson

When did Rumble throw an illegal strike, was it the Koscheck fight?

Seems like a lot of pros are picking Rashad to win this fight, judging from Sherdog and MMA Live. MMA Live barely counts IMO considering 2 of the guys trained with Rashad (Florian, King Mo) and Dan Henderson and Pat Miletich are both wrestlers and it seems wrestlers always stick together. The biggest thing I noticed is everybody is questioning Rampage's focus because he did the movie, I really don't think that's a sign of him not being focused at all. He finished filming over 4 months ago, it's not like he was filming during his training camp.

Another thing that I've found interesting on Primetime is they are making it seem like Rashad is spending a bunch of time on conditioning while Rampage is spending a bunch of time actually fighting. All those Olympic workouts look great but Usain Bolt couldn't beat Urijah Faber in an MMA fight. Rampage's gas tank has never been an issue and I don't see why it would be now, although the layoff could be problematic. Rampage is also looking like he's focusing on being a more diversed striker for this fight or at least giving Rashad something to think about. Rampage knows exactly what Rashad is going to try to do, box for a bit but then go for a takedown with Rampage showing Muay Thai on Primetime and even talking about it on MMA Live last night there has to be some doubt in Rashad's mind if Rampage is going to come out a different striker.

Another thing that I find interesting is while it seems like Rashad's camp gives full access to their training sessions on Primetime it seems Rampage's camp holds things back. Rampage talked about how they flew in Iranian olympic wrestlers to train with but that was never shown on Primetime. Also on the 1st episode I think it was Rampage makes a cryptic remark about how he just made a breakthrough in his Jiu Jitsu because he had never really trained jiu jitsu to do submissions. Also he's never shown training his jiu jitsu on the show.

I'm really looking forward to this fight and I think Rampage wins a fairly one sided fight and goes to fight Shogun in the biggest fight of the year IMO.

I'm not so sure it is the other guy. I know previews aren't 100% exact as how the episode turns out, but it seems when they show the fighters reaction one asks "is he ok?" and the guy with the mohawk looks really concerned pacing around sort of sad, and nods his head "yeah".

Since the mohawk guy is real good friends with Yager in the house, it might be Yager who is hurt. Like I said though, that could be the way it's cut and edited and it doesn't actually happen in that order.

Just in case anyone was wondering, Rampage looked in just as good of shape as he normally is at the weigh-ins yesterday. Rashad got heavily booed and Rampage was cheered.
