I've never paid much mind to MLS apart from randomly watching highlights and the rare match from time to time but I moved to Boston last year and have a friend here who is as into the Revolution/MLS as anybody I've ever met. I watched pieces of the Fire/NYCFC, Orlando/SLC, and Dynamo/Revs matches this weekend and I have to admit I was pretty entertained. The defense and refs were major LOLs but as my friend says, that's part of the charm to the league!
It seems there's actually a good amount of exciting talent spread around between promising young internationals, solid american vets, and of course the over the hill eurostars treating the league like it's your over30 rec sunday league. I recognize several players who I saw play in college which is cool, Nguyen, Bruin, Burnbuy, Meram, and that guy Caleb Porter when he was a super arogant dude at Akron
Also shoutouts to the two former Detroit City FC guys Adam Bedell (orlando) and Kofi Opare (dcu)
If the league is half as choatic as this weekend's slate was I could be hooked.
