Games Today:

3:00 PM Chicago v New York Red Bulls
4:00 PM Montreal Impact v Seattle Sounders FC

the 2nd game moved to today due to snow on top of The Big LOL or something

wonder how many ppl they're expecting to get in there for the home opener
would be a little shocked if there was a ton of excitement around the team right now

Watched the full 90 yesterday. Not bad for a 0-0. Rowe and Farrell both look very sharp. Our striker situation is dire though. Can't see how we can possibly score goals.

NER is a prime candidate for a DP striker. I thought the strategy of getting a bunch of decent-good guys would work out through someone fitting in just right with a good team around him (see Luke Rodgers at NYRB) but it's just not happening.

I could see them snapping up some lesser-value player who shows really well at the World Cup, or maybe dealing for Martins if the Drogba/Sounders rumors stick around for a couple more months.

Of course, I doubt Kraft is interested in spending $1-2M on a single player so that's probably out.

Some pretty nasty weather in the first two games of the day. DC and Philly both with some sparse attendance as a result.

Big early season test of this new TFC squad at RSL tonight. Haven't been very impressed but happy they have found two victories to start the season for the first time ever.

Projected lineups have Dero starting on the wing in place of the suspended Jackson. Its a little scary given how slow Dero has looked and Jackson has actually tracked back acceptably.

Backline looks more solid this year and I think the team will live off the counterattack with Bradley winning balls and making that first pass. They have displayed very little ability to retain possession though which will likely lead to some nervy finishes if they can keep getting in front.

And now I'm fairly sure Opara just broke his leg, and then got called for a penalty to add insult to injury.

FACT: mutigers' real live TV is ahead of the MLS Live stream by ~45 seconds it appears.

Also, Dwyer deserved that after just missing with his attempt a couple minutes ago.

Bloom playing the wing instead of Dero so definitely more defensively sound. Also have Hall starting in the middle of the park with Bradley instead of Osorio so a more defensive lineup in general than the last two weeks.
