schawber vs the dbacks - 9 AB, 1 HR, 1 BB, 7 K.

keep starting him right in the heart of the lineup there Joe. nothing like a nearly guaranteed out in the 6 hole

Someone who knows more about baseball(most everyone itt) please look at the Dbacks lineup and convince me Iannetta batting 2nd over Deacalso, Marte, or Blanco makes sense....especially vs a righty.

Meh, he's had a bad couple of days, but he's OPSing almost .900 in the last month.

not a fan of him batting where he has been this series.. I don't think he should be starting right now but meh. I'd prefer to see him off the bench

You don't think the 25 or so teams with worse records might be worse?

Especially considering the fact they're playing about 15 wins above expectation this year + have run below expectation on injury luck.

Are you suggesting they've run good on injuries this year?

Baseball's not really a WIM/WIL sport. It's all about control/timing/balance, i.e., things you can't really try harder at.

Preparation is one aspect of the sport that's Wimmy, but I haven't seen any evidence they have prepared poorly this year.

No, the opposite. So it's more impressive they've won as many games as they have.

KB is on fire lately. 18-39 in his last 10 gms. Power isnt there because of that finger injury he's playing with, but it showed itself today.

Schwarber... i dont know what the hell has happened. He was drafted as a world class hitter.

this is where a good part of Jeter's run good will take a bad beat , dude is def overpaying for this team in fla .hopefully for him he has a low% of his net worth at risk

Jeter and Mattingly on the same team. The irresistible force vs the immovable object. Either they always win, or they never win. Which will it be?
