I'm an English cricket fan who is really getting into MLB. I watch it like every day. And I'm having a really hot streak betting it. Had a 5 fold accumulator come in the other week (also bet trebles and quads) for £300+.
My strategy has been to pick any of these teams (if they are not playing eachother) if I can get anywhere near even money or odds against. Or anything around -100 in yank odds.
Astros
Giants (not working so well lately)
Mets
Dodgers (always seem to be heavy odds on, sometimes put them in anyway)
Cardinals
Rays
Pirates
Any to scratch off the list or add? I've been pretty damn lucky because I'm basing this on about a months worth of viewing and I've only seen some of these teams a couple of times.
By the way, some of you guys could definitely get into cricket. I think they are similarly paced. You could start with T20 - the matches tend to last about 3 hours with a break in between innings and similar to baseball, you tend to get a lot of tight finishes. Test match cricket is the best. There's nothing like two great teams going toe to toe for 6 hours a day, 5 days in arow. But I think that might be difficult to get into for a novice; the shorter form is a great intro. Some cricket fans get snobby, but there's no reason IMO. It's just a different game.
edit: Also been discounting home/away for betting purposes, but obviously that's factored into the odds.
I once watched Cricket for a few hours while smoking weed and it was hilarious.
Played it once as well with an Indian roommate and his friends, had absolutely no idea what I was doing but while bowling struck out my roommate on one pitch! (not sure what the proper Cricket terminology is)
