In the 8th inning with the bases loaded and 2 outs, the Brewers are down by 2 runs. Counsell decides to PH for the pitcher with Vogt who was batting .213 before getting released by Oakland while leaving better hitters such as Aguilar or Perez on the bench.

After the game he said he wanted to go with the veteran.

I was surprised he even started the inning. If anything, it should've been one of those situations where he gets pulled if someone gets on base. They didn't even get anyone up in the bullpen until the bases were loaded.
