Trout for just prospects can't happen bit I don't think another top 10 player itl as the starting point works either. Defeats the purpose a bit.
Pricing WAR at 8.5 mil per on the open market, Trout's next three years project to create about 150-170 million in surplus value over those three years. I agree I overshot with my (off the cuff) suggestion, but doubt it's by much.

Moncada costs more than most prospects, which works against him too, but yeah, LA would need an established, productive MLBer. You guys are right though that Mookie++ is probably shooting a little too high at this point

Especially considering the money factor, Trout makes $33 or something next few years, Beni is what, $600k for the next 2? If you get rid of Mookie and Beni for one OF you won't have money to replace prob.

33M, obvs. $33 would be a bargain.

You can argue it's not fair but I don't see how a simple Trout for Benitiendi swap doesn't help out the Angels. Obv they can get more though. Add Pujols and more prospects?

**** the Sawx though he wants to be a Yankee

because you aren't just limited by money, you are limited by active spots in the lineup. it isn't as simple as accumulating war for dollars.

No it's not, because it won't happen any time in the next couple of years.

Also, it sucks that Freeman hurt his wookie.

It's still an interesting question to discuss even if it's incredibly unlikely to actually happen.

Heading to Dodger Stadium for a game (I did a full tour in January) for the first time in 20+ years.

2014 - Angel Stadium
2015 - AT&T Park
2016 - Coors Field
2017 - Peoria Sports Complex (Mariners Spring Training), Dodger Stadium

Fun tradition with my wife... can't wait to start doing non-West Coast ballparks.

McDowell never gave a real apology or showed any awareness that gay people are people. Just kinda said "I'm sorry you're so sensitive." And he said his dumb **** to fans in front of children.

Pillar gave the realest apology I've heard in a super long time

I'm a little afraid of what kind of message a suspension sends

He seems to fully appreciate it was a big deal because of the human pain connected to the word. Now he's getting signals that the real problem was PC and money. If there's any resentment he begins to feel, I hope it's toward the league and not towards understanding and tolerance and the LGBT community.

Kinda wish I could communicate to him even though I know I don't speak on anyone's behalf

I don't care about all the emo gaylord stuff, but I am excited to see what happens in the game. Starts in 30mins.
Teheran is a pretty big boy and can definitely hold his own against any of the Blue Jays.

I'm more concerned with why he's using that word as an insult in 2017. Last time I heard it used as an insult was 1987 in The Monster Squad. I bet it was that or dork.

Braves organist is elite, is he the same one that plays the Hawks games too?

Walk-up music sampling from this season:

"The Addams Family" for Matt Adams

"Smoke on the Water" for Justin Smoak

"The Godfather Theme" for Darrell Ceciliani
