Not sure how far back we're going, but some people were actually disappointed with Mickey Mantle.

Looks like PED penalties are going to be harsher.

Apparently a first offence will be 80 games and a second offense will be a full season as opposed to 50 and 100.

Tigers and Miggy extension imminent.

Quote:
The average annual value on the deal is expected to be in the range of $30MM per year, tweets Jon Morosi of FOX Sports.

Pitching wise: some guy named "Paul Wilson". Sure fire HoFer. LoL. He was a bust, unlike the 2 hitters I mentioned.

I think before Harper, right after being drafted w/o professional baseball yet played, Daryl Strawberry was the biggest baseball prospect. People were saying he was the single most complete OFer ever...HRs, avg, defensive range, arm strength, SBs...one of the sweetest swings you'll ever see...he actually had a better career than people think, because a lot think he was an "absolute bust" along with Gooden, when that's not the case, especially with Gooden who did put up 8 Hall of Fame caliber seasons.

Speaking of Gooden, my God, the single greatest 20 year old pitcher of all time.

And yes, I am a diehard Mets fan. Them and Arsenal.

Who was in that mets trio from the 90s...

Isringhausen, pulsipher and some bum. I remember the daily news sucking those three off everyday for years.

Unlike pooholes, I dont think Miggy is 5 years older than he says he is. Not justifying the deal just lol'ing at pooholes

Let's give a 10 year/300 milly contract to a dude who is already out of shape at age 30 I don't see how this can end poorly

Why would Cabrera be less likely to falsify his age than Pujols? Pujols went to high school in Kansas City.

are baseball contracts getting just a little ridiculous? i read that most of the teams don't make money from the actual ticket sales and instead use them as loss leaders to get lucrative TV contracts/starting their own network which is where they make all their money
