First thing I do when I become a billionaire is buy a baseball team and make cruizin the GM

(That team will be the dodgers)

also, funny how i get made fun of for being delusional, but from the plan that i posted a few days ago, we just got the toughest part of that plan done AND in only a matter of days. this Cubs team WILL be a World Series contender next October. just wait for the start of next season and you will see how hard THEO crushed this offseason.

Feels like the maddon deal is going to blow up in the cubs face but I don't know how either. Should be a fun and easy job managing this group of emerging guys or guys who should be entering their prime right now (rizzo/castro).

The most difficult part isn't hiring Maddon. The difficult part is getting elite starting pitching and grooming the young bats. Baez still strikes out 40% of the time. They'll be contenders, but will be surprised if it's next year. It'll be damn exciting to watch next year tho

Lester is a LOCK to get signed by the Cubs. if we want Peavy, he's a LOCK as well. but if the Cubs really want to try to get someone better than Peavy, then i say yes please! the elite pitching will come; no need to worry about it. we are the one of the 3 most important baseball clubs in baseball who also play in the best city in the United States. why wouldn't they come?

and Baez is literally the only one I'm worried about. i feel like the others are going to be able to pull their weight on the team except maybe him. if he can't get it done, Addison Russell will surely get it done.

everything will fall into place.

Lester is not a lock. Peavy sucks. Hope that helps.

So true. If the Cards played the Giants, and a family of four got in a fatal car crash going to a game (or with another vehicle going to a game), we would not be thinking it never would have happened if the Cards had lost.
It would just be really tragic and fall under stuff happens in a random world.

It just seems more linked to a particular event/non-event because he was a player. Playoffs impact the lives of tens of thousands of other people too.
