I'm intrigued by the #4 guy, Alex Reyes with the Cards, with a 80-fastball, 70-curve, 60-change, and 50-control.

Those are huge numbers. His video didn't show too much.

Reyes is gonna be a stud and he's gonna piss me off as a Cubs fan until his arbitration years are over

I'm so glad that Spring Training is basically here. Lot of big leaguers still without clubs!

Huh? “@Ken_Rosenthal: Sources: #Braves close to acquiring 2B Brandon Phillips from #Reds.”

They already tried once and he insisted on an extension to waive his NTC, but he's from Atlanta, so maybe he changed his mind.

I assume they want him because they're trying to put lipstick on a pig to push the new stadium.

I was just thinking about opposite field power. Can't recall seeing a right hander with a splash hit, or ever upper deck in right field in Texas. Or a left hander going into the rather attainable upper deck in left field in Seattle.

Historically which guys have had really big opposite field power?

Two thoughts I just had about extra inning automatic RISP. It's possible to pitch a perfect game and lose, and it's also possible that the man due up 3rd in the top of the inning doesn't get to hit. Dumb stuff.

Braves and Phils may be sneaky good this year, if Jose Fernandez didn't decide to play for the Angels, the NL east may have been the top division this year.

Why would Fernandez decide to play for the Angels?!? Much more WS equity with the Marlins

Dont see the point of this trade for Cincinnati other than just having him outta town. Two dumpy prospects and a million in savings

Gets Peraza in the lineup? Gets them closer to first draft pick?

I don't quite see it that way. I see it as get your future 2b in there now everyday, instead of playing him out of position.

The reds know they aren't going to do anything this year with or without him, and he lives in ATL in the offseason. Win win for both of them imo.

Joseph Votto was in a deceptive wrong place at the wrong time, when he signed that contract. He is never going to play on a .500 team again.

He pitched in the Majors last year and was definitely solid. Just search his name on Youtube if you want to see video.

He got paid. Don't think he is too worried about it.

i feel like Pujols did? Joe Mauer doesn't have much power but a lot of his homeruns are opposite field
