Sounds right, but:

Not saying he'll get it but it sure doesn't sound like he's interested in proving himself on the cheap, lol.

Also, good stuff with the FA breakdown.

Re: Official all-things-MLB-Offseason thread

Ha, I was being mostly facetious. I was a bigger supporter of Thole than most during his time here, and always felt like he could do more if given the chance to actually catch a non-knuckleballer and get a bit more regular time. Seemed to have some decent on-base skills before Dickey, and the few studies that have been done regarding performance of catchers immediately after receiving knuckleballers suggests that there's a bit of a refractory period both offensively and defensively, as well as physically. It was basically a joke to other Jays fans since Dickey and Thole have been a bit of a package deal the last few years.

Re: Official all-things-MLB-Offseason thread

Bats declined his QO from the Jays

Edwin is mulling an offer from them, but said it came in lower than he was hoping
seems like he's setting the stage to leave as well

gl to Dickey in Hotlanta, he seems like a good dude

1/$8 seems fine. He's not gonna set anyone's tits on fire but should be a reliable 5th/innings eater.

Bal looking at Reddick, I'd like to see what he could do in that park/div.

I look forward to some young catcher having to learn to catch knuckle balls from scratch, while being told by the ace coaching staff to not spend time on hitting

Barves now have a #3 and like 8 #5s. I believe the next step is to trade 4 #5s for a #1. I see what you're doin down there ATL front office!

Colon and Dickeye? OK sounds like fun, they should just do a 2 man rotation and spend the rest on a lineup. I mean, what are those guys saving their arms for?

I kinda wanted to go that route, but it wouldn't haven't been as well executed.
