Players typically get paid extra in order to waive NTC's.

Rockies are reportedly chasing Trumbo. That could make for a pretty fascinating pairing. Have they ever signed or had that kind of non-Coors power threat?

Astros lineup is legitimately the best in the AL. Having watched way too many games last year Correa will slug .700+, Altuve will Altuve, Bregman will put a .800 ops with awesome D at 3b, Springer will keep up being a badass and then add in Reddick, McCann, Aoki, and Beltran. Also Gurriel, Gattis, T Kemp, and Aoki. Their SP rotation is banking huge on a couple of young guys having good seasons.

Andres Galarraga is the closest comp I can come up with off the top of my head. So no. I always thought Galarraga was mostly a product of the thin air anyways, but then he surprised the hell out of me in Atl.

There was some talk of Manny to Col shortly after his prime. I'd like to see what a real super star could produce there (Larry Walker was really good but I'm talking more HOF types).

Trumbo seems like a terrible sign for Col btw. Coors will obviously play up his power, but it plays up everything, esp for contact hitters and high OBP guys. Then again this is the team that wasn't happy with 3 LH hitting OF's so they called up Dahl to make it 4. FG has Manny ****ing Parra penciled into first base as of now, lol.

I was a young boy who was just starting to watch baseball so I don't have many clear memories of them, but whenever I think about Bichette, Burks, Castilla, Galarraga, and Walker... CENTRALIZED BLOODFLOW!

What a glorious blast. And what a disastrous baseball stadium.

+1

I don't remember Kevin Brown giving up many 600 footers It left his hand a baseball and landed a mangled ball of yarn.

Ummm, didn't you see there was a big 50 year anniversary emblem on the upper deck tarp??

Lol, I remember him saying that but didn't actually process it. Really stupid.

Love the Galarraga bomb. The Glenallen Hill one is great too.

Homerun is the single greatest thing in all of sport. Factually.

fyp

Kickoff return td and buzzer beaters round-out the top 3. Huge upset KO's are my fave outside of team sports.

I hate how the cameraman bungles the shot of Hill's blast.

I wish I could find the interview...but after the game, Hill claimed the ball went at least 700 feet iirc.

Worst thing ever is when you got a significant sum of money on the game and youre losing but a HR can tie it or take the lead, and the ****ing cameraman makes a warning track flyout look like it's hit 500 yards.

Lolling at 500 yards.

Glenallen Hill and I are not only brothers in homeruns but brothers in arachniphobia! I've yet to fall through a coffee table as a result tho.

Buzzer beaters in March Madness are the greatest thing in sports, but dingers are top 5.

Well now wait a minute! Sure they top a 4th inning June HR, but they absolutely do not top Rajai Davis' Game 7 HR!

Dinger number one foreverrrrr!
