Yeah, I'm not expecting the next Syndergaard in return or anything. They did trade AAA fire hydrant Dan Vogelbach for Mike Montgomery at the deadline this year, in a move no one paid much attention to, but Montgomery ended up being a very valuable bullpen piece this postseason and looks like the leading candidate to be their 5th starter next year, with 5 years of control remaining. If Theo could find someone else like that with upside for Soler, I'd be pretty happy at this point. He just has no place to play with some combination of Schwarber, Heyward, Zobrist, and Contreras occupying the corner outfield spots pretty much every day. He barely got playing time even when Schwarber was out for the season.
