Zack Cozart, SS

In other organizations Cozart would probably have a few major league seasons under his belt. But Dusty Baker is an idiot. He came up mid season last year and batted .324 in 11 games. An errant throw by Joey Votto on a double play caused a collision that made Cozart need to get ending Tommy John Surgery on his non throwing elbow. He doesn't have a huge ceiling and will never be a super star. However Cozart projects as a 15/15 hitter. A few .300 seasons and a few All-Star games are in his future. He also plays a great shortstop and should help continue my elite defense. He's 26 and has his best years ahead of him.

I love Dylan Bundy too, think he was the best prospect in this past year's draft actually. But let's take it easy on the bolded. The kid is 19 years old with no time in the minors. It's more likely he's not very good for 4-5 years than "ready to start now"

Taken in Round 11, compared to Round 5 for Devin Mesoraco. We're not saying we prefer Grandal to Mesoraco, but look at these age 22 lines (split between A+ and AA and a pinch of AAA for both)
