153 days ago, there was suddenly no more baseball, and there hasn't been ever since, unless you're some kind of coward that counts spring training or like Cuban stuff or whatever. Tomorrow, however, a beautiful thing will happen: there will be baseball. Shortly after 2:00 my time, Francisco Liriano will pick up a little white round thing and throw it towards a guy with a stick, and all will be right in the world again, if only for a few months. Kiss your wives or girlfriends goodbye.

Potential storylines include, but are not limited to:
  • David Ortiz' sad Jeter-style handjob tour
  • Zack Greinke will try to lead the hapless DBacks to relevence
  • Darvish
  • TROAT
  • LOLPhillies
  • Cubbies dynasty: Year 1 of many
  • Mets and Indians rotations
  • Montreal?!?
  • Red Sox $38MM bench
  • Yankees 3-headed bullpen monster
  • Vince Cully's farewell tour that doesn't tour
  • Tim Raines HOF

Of course, none of that is relevant, since it's an even numbered year.

I dunno, is that enough words? Post your favorite gifs and spam nonsense about your favorite teams below, I guess. Sad about my not including your team in the OP? Shut up, it's nicer than the one you made.

Anybody go to random games at Wrigley? I'm looking at going to go for a Cards/Cubs game in August or so. I've never been to Wrigley. Right now it's sold out ldo, and even bleacher seats are going for $100+ on stubhub. Will tickets generally drop over the course of the year, stay steady, or even go up? I really don't want to drive to Chicago and risk not even getting tickets, so buying day of game isn't really an option.

Love this line from a rotoworld blurb:

It would have been embarrassing had the Phillies' regulars lost to the prospects. But it's also embarrassing that the Phillies' prospects lost to the regulars. Oh well.

I live a few blocks away. You can literally always buy tickets day of. There's tents around with ticket brokers selling tickets. On day of, you can get cheaper tickets and even find almost face value a day or 2 before. If you come to wrigley, my recommendation is get there early and go to a local drinking establishment beforehand as we have many. Do not under any circumstance drive, figure out public transportation. Don't pass out or pee on my lawn, but enjoy yourself!

For as long as I can remember there's been one ESPN evening game on Sunday. I don't recall there ever being more than one though.
